#1
Tragic news out of Rose Hill today as one of their players, David Garns collapsed and passed away on the court at practice this afternoon. I don't know anything else about the situation other than what I just mentioned, but please remember to keep David Garns and his family in your prayers.

A few years ago a girl on my daughters AAU team was killed, to this day it still affects those girls each time they walk onto the court without her. Ongoing counseling is a must in these situations, they will never get over it but it does help in learning how to deal with the overwhelming emotions. God bless the parents, family and friends, my prayers are with you.

A tragedy such as this brings sadness to all of us that care about young people from any school. Sometimes we forget what is really the important, things in life such as family and good friends. Basketball is a way of maybe bragging a little to others from the other schools every now and then but this really brings about what is real and events are not always happy ones. I pray for the family thru this terrible tragedy and may the Lord bless and comfort them.
