Newport won its fourth game of the season, solidifying the victory with a 14-point fourth quarter.

Newport senior running back Brandon Carter ran six times for 142 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 30 yards.

Junior wide receiver Andrew Merrill had five catches for 114 yards.

Newport is 4-3 this season and Lloyd is 1-6.
