Who is it? Who are they? Who is the greatest assistant to never be a head coach? Who is the best specialist at their position? (Best pure QB coach, pure Offensive coordinator, pure defensive coordinator, etc...)
What brought this up was that I was thinking about how far Rockcastle has fallen and how their defense has been getting killed by almost every team they play. I was just really missing Tony Saylor as defensive coordinator. I do believe that Josh Martin is the defensive coordinator now. I will never believe that Tony is the d-coordinator now, even if he really was, lol.

I actually thought that Chris Pardue was one of the best assistants and Offensive Coordinators in the state for Boyle County under Chuck Smith. He made a terrible Head Coach IMO and his forte was as an OC and Assistant. He had a great offense that just plugged new pieces in all the time. Should have stayed an O Coordinator IMO.

Jeff Griffiths (Coach Griff) has ran the Bowling Greens Defense for the last 9 years. He did coach at Wayne County for a couple of years but I think he is one of the BEST defensive Coordinators in the state if not the best. I know it's off topic. Sorry.

Steve Mickey was head coach one year before Haywood came to Belfry. You might want to check I might be wrong. But I agree Steve Mickey was **** of a coach
10-07-2010, 06:06 PM
Coach Mickey was never the head coach, 77. He was an assistant under **** Roddy for several seasons before Coach Haywood came to Belfry in 84.

I might be wrong, but Phillip Haywood took over for Coach Roddy. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
10-07-2010, 06:13 PM
like I said I might be wrong but I thought he took over for one year after roddy and before Haywood. I thoght it was just one year. If someone knows let us all no. Like i Said Steve Mickey was a heck of a coach and is missed at beflry right now

I dont know about the word "great" but I always thought Steve Hollan was a pretty decent coach, I dont think he has got his chance at being the head man yet. Steve is currently an assistant under Chapman at Pike Central.

Steve Mickey was never the head coach.
I always thought Coach Mick would have been a good head coach, but I am not sure he ever had that desire. He was a very good assistant coach and one heck of a motivator.

I promise, I was trying to answer your question. When you asked again "if anyone knows let us all know", I answered it again with a little more detail.
I was just trying to answer the question you asked. If I offended you in some way, that wasn't my intention, I swear.
Your mother sounds like a really great woman.

Definitely these 2, they have always impressed me, Chirico relatively new to the defense at Pburg (love the schemes in passing leagues Pburg uses).
Ive always loved Tony Saylor (helped the rock get its name) and I know a lot of people including myself , think Frank Morris is the man!!!
