Final from the Briar Patch. I wasn't able to make it to this one, apparently the Jumpers had their chances but just didn't have the horses in the end. I heard some of Somerset's key young players were a little banged up from getting so much Varsity time the past couple of weeks. I didn't hear much about the state of Bell's team except that they looked really good. Sounds like both teams have some good young players to look forward to though!

I would like to know if Collett, Oslonian, Polly, and some of those boys played tonight?

Jumpers D played pretty good most of the night. Bell TD with about 6 minutes left on about a 50 yard run was the back breaker for Somerset. Somerset struggled throwing the ball deep tonight, missing two of their best receivers really hurt them tonight.
Overall very well played game, hard hitting and no mouthing from either side. Both sides turned the ball over but most of those were caused by good D.

Good showing for the young bobcats. Glad they are competing. The wins and loses are not as big as just playing hard and improving. It appears they are.

They are improving every week. The future is still looking good for the Bobcats.

It is great to see these young bobcats come in each week improving. That is what JV football is all about, getting better week in and week out. Not worrying about winning and losing but getting better. I want to give props to Somerset, every other year they come down and play us and we travel to them. I'm glad they are willing to get better and play a quality team. It is just sad that we have to travel an hour and a half to do so for a JV game.

That is what happens when South Laurel, North Laurel, Middlesboro and Corbin will not play you.

It has paid off for both programs as the record on the field indicates. Who is #15 for Bell County JV? He was a really nice running back.

#15 is Ryan Collett a soph. Great speed, just bad luck playing behind the highly touted Davenport. Will be a nice player in the future.

Your are COMPLETELY right!!! Hopefully next year we will see more of him. I would love to see Ryan and Cory start together with the Warwick kid as the lead blocker. We get our Oline back as well next year too. Might be a special year for these two where I think we will have to run the ball a little more.
Ryan Collett 5 games, 21 attempts, 280 yards, and 4 TD'S in Varsity time.... Including a kickoff return against Madison Central for the 1st TD of the game. Thats 13 ypc.
