The Black Bears will cross the mountain with the intent of spanking those Cougars by 50. LCC has a wonderful facility and the atmosphere and fans have been great over there over the past two years. Two fan bases that love football and love their team. I hope this continues. This is a great rivalry. My prediction is HC-40 LCC-13. The Bears will hold the Cougars to less than 100 yards on the ground. Johnson will be faced with much pressure and take a lot of punishment from the Bears rush. The Bears will have near 300 yards on the ground and pass for 75 yards. The Bears will be coming hard, no surprises, right at 'em. Again, the Bears will need to hold on to the ball and stick to their assignments. I hope to see improvements in those areas game by game. Looking forward to the great atmosphere at Letcher. GO BLACK BEARS!!!!!!

HC is 0-2 at Letcher County. The Black Bears will be facing a bunch of angry and frustrated Cougars who want to prove that their season isn't a flop. Harlan County needs to be ready to play this game or we'll be driving back across the mountain with our feelings hurt. I don't expect that to happen though. I'm sure many on this year's team will remember the last time they played over there and will want to make a statement.

Harlan County fans, lets not get ahead of ourselves. LCC bounced back from a loss at HC to open the district last year with a win the following week at Whitley. Don't let the Perry score mislead you, the Cougars have their backs against the wall and are playing at home. This is going to be a dog fight and I'm sure the Black Bears will be heading over the mountain ready for war. Let's concentrate on winning before we start predicting blowouts:dontthink

I'm saying this is one of those games where records don't matter! Three tight games so far and I don't expect anything but LCC's best effort! Having said that from what I've heard I pick the Black Bears to be chasing that cougar on the jumbotron!!!
Black Bears 41
LCC 14
Go Bears!!!

Harlan Co. is clearly the favorite going in. The biggest worry for them is getting too comfortable. If they can find some spark and a way around the wall the Cougars could make it interesting!

LCC does not show up and apparently are not going to Harlan County wins 53-12.
09-26-2010, 11:30 PM
The Black Bears will cross that mountain expecting a huge battle from LCC. It is clearly evident that LCC has some problems, but we all know that this is a huge game for both teams. Again, the Bears will be coming and coming hard for the win. Prepare Black Bears and GO GET IT! GO BLACK BEARS!!!!!

Harlan by 21 when JV is sent in during the 4th quarter.
Harlan pulls out the win by 77.
LCC's JV officially retires play for the year after the game.

LCC is in badly need of a win. I wouldnt be surprised if they pulled it out. I'm taking LCC in a shocking win over Harlan by 6.

This will be a dog fight.....I will pick Harlan County winning with a final score of 35-27.

LCC loaded up the line of scrimmage against PCC and pretty much played one safety up all night.
That didn't work against the Dores pass attack, but I could see it giving Harlan trouble....
unless the JV is in.

I was at the Harlan/Whitley game. Harlan struggled in that game and finally pulled it out in the end. If they play like that against LC it could be much closer than most think. I'll take Da Bears in a closely contested game. HC 34 LC 30.
09-28-2010, 12:50 PM
I'll take Harlan Co.

To me it comes down to what the cougars want there season to be. Don't know what the problem with them is, but I really do hope they work on there tackling drills this week because to me it is awful. I am still going to pick my cougars with my fingers crossed 24-21. Please guys lets salvage this season.

If Harlan Co. Wants to win they really have to stop the passing game, #2 for the Cougars is a heck of a QB, looking at KHSAA it looks like he can run it to.

Harlan Co.

Harlan Co. has no problem here!
