The Hawks are strong... but that stat has just as much to do with who they have played. SV gave up 75 last week to Lawrence County. Boyd County is 0-3 and their other losses were to 1A schools, and Phelps is arguably one of the bottom 10-15 teams in the state of KY.

PCC's schedule has been equal to Kentucky playing Union College, West Virginia Tech, and Kentucky Christian.

Not sure how they will stack up against a running team like Belfry or Breathitt,though.On a side note, I'm the biggest SV fan ever, but you know it's a down year when the cheerleaders throw the souvenir balls to the fans and the fans throw them back.....hang in there Wildcats, you did show flashes of brilliance...."flashes"

As far as Pike county teams, I think PCC may be the best team in the county.

Shelby Valley will struggle outside of their disrict games, although I still think they could wrap up a 2 seed and home playoff game.

Pike Central is much like Lawrence Co. was last year - a potentially very good team, but tough to tell because of its schedule.

In the regular season, only the Belfry and P-burg games will give an indication as to how good they really are.
