The point is that thread was still going. Posts were not but a minute or two old when it was closed?? Just strange, you would think that when one is active that starting another one will more than likely kill the discussion not keep it going. Not a big deal just trying to understand.

I see what you're saying, but there is no point in having two threads about the same game. You have your threads for predictions, updates, and post game discussions.

WOW just got in from this game. I think it was the longest game ever in KHSAA history. LOL...

Middlesboro was up 35-7 with 9 min to go in the 3rd and just flat out stopped playing D!!! Feel sorry for the boys but its hard to when they quit playing.

New poster here glad to be here. I was born and raised in middlesboro and am a grad and fan. An above poster asked how good is Alcoa, well that's the best team I've ever seen in person and I saw them at bell lastyear. Alcoa is a sight to see, very impressive. Very few teams in ky could challenge them. Look at it like this I'm sure the players heard for months, alcoa is gonna hammer you guys, so really how mentally ready were they. With that said in ky play whibh is all that matters the jackets have taken on two 5a schools and most definitly done well. I think come district time they will be fine

Middlesboro just played way too conservative. Clay Co has a very explosive offense.

Clay does have a very explosive offense. But obviously Mboro contained if for 2.5 quarters. I would love to see the last 1.5 quarters of this one. I bet Hooker and Wilson hooked up a time or two?

Yea Hooker and Wilson did hook up, But the difference maker was CJ Miller. He marched the team down the field over and over in the second half. Anyone who got in his way got flat out ran over. This kid is a beast to tackle. It looks like Clay has found a great happy medium with their run and pass game, and its going to make it hard on any defence they play. The Clay defence cant be looked over they stepped up in the second half.

Last years WYMT second game was a late one, so I left after the KC game. Sounds like another great one tho for the fans whom stuck it out.

I will never forget 2 years ago when CJ Miller sent our CB to the hospital with a concussion trying to tackle him. He is the real deal. Clay showed a ton of heart to not just fold. That type of game could be a springboard for the rest of the season.

Can't quite make out what Clay is about this year. Very inconsistent to this point. I'm sure the potential is there but they've yet to put it altogether. I'm sure in time they will.
