This is a long standing rivalry. Bowling Green has dominated lately winning the past 8 or 9 years. Franklin Simpson is coming off a heartbreaking loss to a very good Warren Central team 7-6. FS had a 26 yard field goal attempt blocked with 3 seconds left in the game. Bowling Green has outscored their first two opponents 118-0 and given up only 150 yards total offense for both games. Franklin Simpson is a better opponent than BG's first two but I think BG will roll in this one. It is also Homecoming for BG and they will be pumped up. We will know in a couple of weeks how good they are. They play Owensboro on the road in week 4 and Trinity at home in week 5. They probably have the best defense in the state that only starts 2 seniors on defense. If not this year I think next year they will finally get that State Championship Trophy from Highlands .
