Could there be a Catholic sweep of all 4 state championships? NCC, O. Cath, Lex. Cath, and of course the big 2 St. X & Trinity. If there is a sweep does this help validate the split of public - private?
My self I am pulling for Mayfield, Russell, & Bowling Green. I know I didn't pick a AAAA winner, but I'm still hoping they can both lose.:beg:

A catholic sweep is a scary thought, but I don't think it will happen.

I hope it doesn't happen, and I don't see it happen, but it is definently a possibility this year.
A - Newport Central Catholic is favored over Mayfield
AA - Owensboro Catholic and Russell is a dead split
AAA - Bowling Green is favored over Lexington Catholic (the lone game where a public is expected to win)
AAAA - X beat Trinity bad earlier in the season, but both are privates in this matchup

It looks as if this is the year of the private schools. I'd say all four Catholic schools will have the Titles.

A private sweep is a very real possibility.
I'm pulling for the public schools but this may be the year and the public/private debate will intensify!!!

A- Highly likely,,,I have felt all along that NewCath was the team to ebat and to say they haven't been impressive would be a bold faced lie.
AA- This one could go either way. For my money I think Russell will win based on past history as well as their style of play. But, Catholic has been here before and have won one more game each of the past few years.
AAA- LexCath is a slight underdog IMO, but they have alot of athletic talent, an excellent QB, and a proven track record. Truly a tossup.
AAAA-Catholic winner guaranteed.
I say there is about a 70% chance of a Catholic sweep and a wave of media attention that would follow.

I look for at least one of the public schools to win but I would say it would have to be AA or AAA.

imo if the split occurs then you will se the end of dominant private schools players will be more apt to return to public schools to return to the limelight
