Dang, What happen Harlan Co? I knew Pulaski was a good team but I didnt expect to see them beat the Bears by 33. Congrats Maroon.

Congrats PC, NICE win

WOW... Shocked on this score.

The Ray Correll Bowl has not been a great way for the Black Bears to start the season. Two years in a row, with two beat downs to show for it. Hopefully HC can learn from this and have another good season, just as they did last year.

Pulaski is laoded this year and have a ton of talent. Over 20 seniors i beleive? Harlan Co. defense has a couple missing links in it and they are still a very young program.

PC has a very good team this season from what I hear

Harlan County got the ball down to the goal line one time in the first hafe and was looking to tie the game up but fumbled. it seemed like that play just took the air out of them. Congrats to PC they looked very good.

Wow what a beatdown by the Maroons. Congrats.
08-28-2010, 08:31 AM
Congrats to the Maroons on the big win. They simply dominated the Black Bears on the line of scrimmage all night long.

Beat Down City.

Wow..i'm sure this isn't the way people had this one coming out!

Very impressive win I look for the maroons to do big things this year.

Pulaski has a strong team.. alot of quickness.. good skill players... I didn't pick this one to come out this way however!
08-28-2010, 04:34 PM
SPEED KILLS....and the Maroons seemed faster at every position. Line, backs, backers, outside guys, special teams...every where. Maybe they weren't faster, if they weren't faster then they were better coached because there always seemed to be a Maroon where one needed to be.
Very impressive first game of the year for the Maroons!!!

Pulaski was the better team all the way around. Harlan County had trouble moving the ball. Without 2 major defensive penalties against PC and Harlan County would be without a 1st down in the first qtr. Pulaski's defense was as good as I have seen in several years. The PC defense has had it's struggles over the last few years, but Friday night they flat got after the Black Bears. They flew to the football and basically took Harlan County out of the game early on. I was surprised that overall HC was not in very good condition. They had players laying all over the field Friday night cramping up and it started early in the game. Great win for the Maroons. Now, it's time to get ready for a mad Henry Clay team coming in off a loss. It will be a tall task for PC.

Pulaski D looked great!!!! A lot of speed and athleticism on that team and some solid size. Too a man skill players all looked much stronger and thicker that last year and the QB is a hoss. D-line had a couple of really nice players, the big DE was a match up issue all night for HC.
Got another HC (Henry Clay) next week with a little more speed and athleticism than this weeks HC. Good luck in your home opener. Win this game and a lot of people will take notice around the state.

Without 3 straight offensive penalties on Harlan Co on the 1st series they could have had several first downs. Were you at the game?

Exactly. 4 sr on def and 3 on off. 2 9th and several 10th graders starting. Plus 4 starting positions were out.

And zero yards passing. The Black Bears were physically dominated Friday night.

Two of those were false starts, pretty clear cut penalties.

Not suprised with the PC win just the margin. HC is really struggling.
08-29-2010, 09:26 PM
Pulaski = Football, right? Winningest county in football. All 3 teams are excellent. HC, while on the grow; has major injuries, starters out, and an offense that is still trying to get an identity. Not surprised to see PC have its way with them.

Really struggling? Cmon it was one game and PC has a great team. HC program is in fine shape.

Maybe they will meet in the playoffs. PC had 1st great year last year. Before that nothing. How long will it last? Tradition, I doubt it.

Maybe you have not followed football very long? I think they had some pretty good teams in the past. The Cole Draughn days stick out to me.
They will get a couple of wins in the next 2 weeks with Lee High and Leslie on the schedule. Not sure how they will fair in district. NL looks to be pretty bad and not sure about PCC either.
