Boyle ran the Belly some last year in short yardage so to see them run it this year would not be a HUGE suprise.
They will have a great defense but the offense will be limited somewhat. JC is a good team probally the 2nd best in 5A last year at the close of the season and return a lot. Should be a great game.

Each team gets 2 have 2 scrimmages so whats it 2 you ripkin? We don't need to have a extra week to be ready for Johnson Central. Were ready now. They better be.

If Boyle is playing Johnson Central in Week Zero, neither team gets to have two scrimmages. In order to play in Week Zero, a team has to give up one of the scrimmages. So IF Boyle scrimmaged another team at Jabez and IF Boyle scrimmages again this Friday, Boyle will have violated the By Laws of the KHSAA and could get sanctioned. Not the way to start what should be a very promising year for the Rebels. I hope Coach French has looked into this or will look into this before Friday.

Not an issue. Coach French has been around for a very long time and does everything "By The Book".

Buddy im not the biggest JC fan out there but they will have more than 100 yds. You guys could very well get your a$$es handed to you by the eagles if you don't come ready to go. Im looking at this to be a State championship season for Central and trust me they haven't forgot what happened last year.

WOW, you just told on your team, I bet that goes over well at Boyle. See what running your mouth does, it gets your team into trouble. Just who did Boyle turn in as their scrimmage?

Sure. Week Zero, Week One etc, are designations given by the KHSAA to weeks of the football calendar. Starting last year in order to get the championship game moved forward one week to the first Saturday in December (if you remember in 08, the championship game was held the second Saturday in December), the KHSAA eliminated the bye week. However, it permitted teams that wanted to keep the bye week to start the season one week earlier than the normal start of the season (the normal start is called Week One), but only if they gave up the second of their two scrimmages. In essence, they play a regular season game the week they otherwise would have had their second scrimmage and they start the regular season in Week Zero (which this year is August 20th). Week One is August 27th. So any team that plays on August 20th is prohibited from having two scrimmages; only one. And it doesn't matter when that one scrimmage is held; there can only be one. So if (again if) Boyle scrimmaged at Jabez (and by scrimmage, I mean in full pads; not a 7 on 7), it cannot have another scrimmage this Friday. Hope that helps.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Sounds as if Boyle did get their scrimmage in already since a poster from there admitted that no team moved the ball on them at camp.

I can't wait for this game to start.
I'll start off by saying that Johnson Central should have more than 100 yards in this game. As for Boyle County getting their butt's handed to them. Doubtful. IF Johnson Central wins it will be no more than a touchdown. Now, by no means am I counting Johnson Central out of the game but I do feel that they will lose the game. I'm just a fan and spectator. I feel like Johnson Central has vastly improved from last year. As for what happened last year, Boyle County players ARE NOT going to feel bad for what they did to Johnson Central last year. Larry French will have his team focused and not thinking that they are going to blow them out, like last year. One play at a time.

:dontthink I sure don't think that HM10 is a player and I really don't think they are even a fan to be honest. I think we have someone just trying to make Boyle look bad as far as their fans go. No true Rebel fan would get on a message board and be so cocky!!!! Here in Boyle we give respect to all the teams we have to play. Otherwise we wouldn't have the success we have had. Doesn't take a whole lot of smarts to figure out HM10 is not a Rebel fan!!! :eyeroll:

Honestly, I agree with everything HM10 says. He definitely isn't the player people might think he is but everything he says is right. JC will not score double figures on our defense. I just don't see it. Could I be wrong? Of course. But I doubt it. Last year before the JC game all we heard about is was how JC was going to run it down our throats and all that happened was a coach mad at the end of the game because his team was beaten and that he wanted to buyout of the contract. Don't think that has been forgotten either. I look forward to this game even more now because I am already tired of hearing about what we can't or won't do without Rees and because of some of the posts on here as well.
You. Will. Not. Run. The. Ball. On. Us.
Go ahead and try. I dare you. It'll be like last year. Maybe even worse. This defensive group is going to be a nasty nasty group of disciplined hard hitters. I can't wait to watch them bring the wood.
Now, should JC figure out a way to exploit our defense I'll come back and eat crow and give credit where credit is due. Until then, I am with HM10 all the way.
Say what you want HM10. I hear you loud and clear.

According to K.H.S.A.A. stats Boyle allowed JC 95 rushing yds.7 yds.passing in last years game.if memory serves me right about 80 of those yds came against Boyles 2nd,and 3rd string defense.late in the game.I think Boyles defense will be even better this year.so i dont think JC will score over 7 pts.in the game i guess the queston is how Boyles offense will perform with all the new faces.
