Who is the best QB in the Mountains this season?
#1
I will go with Logan Johnson from Letcher Central. As a Soph. he threw for 17 TD'S and ran 16.That is one heck of a season.Logan is a true dual threat at the QB. position. What is everyone else opinion?
#2
i thought he was moving to wr

The Best: Logan Johnson (LCC)

The Rest:
Austin Stepp (SC)
Alan Boggs (PCC)
JK Hall (JC)

-- I've heard Bryan Casey from East Ridge is a good player just not blessed with talent around him.

The Future:
Sani Warren (BHS)

boggs dont go to pcc no more thank god he was god awful

Sorry bro, I meant Pike County Central.

If he hasnt been moved to receiver I'll say Logan Johnson.

Boggs wasn't bad at all....
He never got to do much, as he was backing up Jordan Amis, but when he was in I never saw him throw a bad pass while he was in.

You keep telling yourself that. Huff will be alright. An Alan Boggs he aint. I know the Huff kid very well. But they both come from Breathitt.:please:

I'm telling you...
I'm as big of a PCC fan as anyone...
and I don't care if they bring in Joe Montana to replace him...
Boggs was a good passer, and with the speed coming back at the receiver position he would have done us well.
#10
has anyone watch richard trent play for breathitt? he isn't bad but for right now Logan Johnson is the best unless they have moved him to WR. also Huff isnt bad but i would pick those three over Boggs anyday.
#11
dont forget austin stepp from SC he has been the starting qb for 3 years now and he has gotten faster
#12
Stepp is the heart of the cards,he's improved every year. abetter athlete than Q.B. but he makes them go.

Bell Co 6'4 QB Madon had 63 completions out of 107 attempts, ONLY 2 Int's, 1,367 pass yards, 17 TD's. That was in 14 games.

Thats real good stats for a team that runs alot.

70% pass completion.

true bell does run alot with not a lot of passing....and those are good stats, but will he be able to do the same thing this year? if he does he might be a possibility

Rumor is they are going to the air a little bit more this year. He has been to camps this summer and has became even more accurate on the off season. If they were a big passing team he would have incrediable stats imo.

if bell county can get a great passing game to go with there great rushing game then i dont see anyone in 4a beating them

Dudley has always been run first,if they become more balanced talk about a handful! Bell's already loaded, don't think anyone could put up much of a fight with them.Might be another :1:at Log mountain.

Shew I hope so. Cory Davenport will just be a Junior this year too. All playoff games will be at Log Mountain too and that always helps come playoff time.

that always helps.

bryan casey (east ridge) should do really good this year they have a few recivers that have talent out so look for him to pass more this season and we all know hes a great runner

I don't know the Boggs kid personally but I saw the young man participate this past summer at a day camp my son attended at EKU. My son took an instant liking to him and I know the coaches were impressed with his arm strength and control. I'm not sure what you're calling awful or who you're comparing him to but what I saw out of him, he seemed pretty darn impressive. He's got a really great personality to boot and he was my sons competition. Maybe the problem lies within you? :dontthink
#23
austin step-schs
bryan casey-erhs
logan johnson-lcchs
#24
Watch out for Dakota Newsome from South Floyd this year.... He only got to play half the season last year, due to transferring....... He is a dual threat, can run or pass..... Has a heck of an arm also....
#25
The Best:JK Hall (JC)

The Rest:
Logan Johnson (LCC)
Austin Stepp (SC)
Alan Boggs (PCC)

JK Hall has speed to rush out of the pocket and a good arm to match
#26
JK Hall is a threat a QB he has speed of a running back and a nice are to throw with so my opinion is JK. Look out for him big time this season
#27
I think Trent from Breathitt is gonna be right in this convo by the end of the season.

Watched the Boggs kid in a blue and white game friday. He look very good throwing the ball. And ran the ball real good. I think he should be in the top. Not saying number one but in the top
#29
Erik Manning of Somerset should be included in the conversation. He is coming off a 14-1 record his first year as a starter. He threw for over 2300 yards and 28 TDs and ran for over 550 yards and 7 mores scores. He has his top 2 receivers back as well.

It's because he chose to take his talent somewhere else.
I promise, if he was the starting QB at PCC, they would be talking about how great he was on here lol
