C: D. Cornett (Perry)

6th: B. Combs (Hazard)

Can't knock the top 5.
The only thing I would possibly change would be the PG position.
With Tate Cox, Jordan Amis, and Josh Whitaker gone the PG play is going to be way down this year and someone new is going to take the role of the best PG in the region. I just don't think Eric Back is the one to do that.

I agree with the top 5. I also agree with zaga fan. PG position may change as the season goes on, theres a young kid thats coming up for PCC this year thats very talented and could be right in the mix of things by the end of the year.
#7
Sawyer Denniston from Wolfe.

braxton is good, but not good enough to say he will be one of the best players in the region by the end of this year. he will get to play some varsity for pcc this year though. give him a few years to get bigger and he will be the best player in eky.

Combs from Hazard is a tough cat, I've played with him.. I can agree to this list above.. Hazard and Perry both has a lot of youth and they are tough all around. In the up coming seasons it will be fun to watch these two knock each other around in the District and Regional tourneys. I look for Dillon Cornett to take over big for Perry this year.

ive also heard that the sizemore kid and cornett's younger brother work very well together...i seen the younger cornett brother play this past week up in fort wayne,i seen him do very well...i seen indiania's head coach there watching the game also,i expect big things from sizemore and the cornett's this year...and the lil guy that played this summer is he playing this season with the big guys?
#11
i thought eric back was a senior last year

Nope.
He's had big minutes since he was in 8th grade though.

The younger Cornett is looking as good as Dillon.. I've played against both this summer and all are getting up and dunking with ease. I've also noticed both has lost a lot of weight, this would indicate that they will more than likely be able to run the floor a little better than last season.

Probably shoulda been but he was held back maybe 2 years?.. My guess is he will probably be 20 before he graduates.

Sawyer is a good scorer...now is he going to be one of the best players in the 14th...unless he has gained some musle i doubt it...but if he does i would but him in the running for one of the best in the 14th....right now he is so skinny he gets ate up in the post by most big guys...unless he get real good at drawing fouls...

I think Zach Davis might be the best player in the region. Some others I'd put on an all region team are: Cornett, Brewer, BJ Combs, Back, Olinger, Roberts, and Slone.

I think Matt Day will prolly be the best player in the region next season stats wise, he should do pretty good for the Wildcats.Buckhorn lost a few starters.

Player that means the most to their team deff Dillion Cornett, he catchs the ball and puts it in the hole, no one in the region will be able handle him nor the any of the Bigs for the Commodores.( I think if the bigs for PC has a huge year they'll give Hatcher his 1st region 14th championship that hes worked hard for.)

A name, Im very shocked to not see on here Hobert Asher, if anyone has seen him play they would deff have him on their list. Hes just going to be a junior I do believe this season. Hes deff a top 5 player in this region.Kids got game very good down low.

* As you noticed most of the players named are from the 54th District, mans thats going to be a tough district.

ehhhh, idk... I kinda agree, kinda disagree.. I guess we will see.. There was a time I thought he was a heck of a ball player but ever since the spring that I have seen him play he just hasn't impressed me.. Maybe he comes back up in season play.

^^
There quite a few good basketball players in the region, not as much as last season but there still talent but I said Stat wise, Buckhorn losing Cowell and Stadiham I dont look for the to be as completive as last season so I think Day will put up the points for the Wildcats so thats why I said that.

He will have too lol.. Yeah, stat wise your probably right.. The team is down which means he will be getting a lot more points and the ball will shift into his hands more than the previous season.

As for PCC, they have a lot of unseen talent.. Little guys just going up with the ball and dunking with ease.. Perry fans that haven't got to see them in action over the summer will be especially surprised in how this team has grown over the Summer.

KCC lost a lot of ball players but they still have guys that are ready to fill those spots.

I totally forgot about Day.
#22
My picks
PG: Eric Back
2G: Zach Davis
SF: Matt Day
PF: Dalton Cornett
C: Dillion Cornett

ive got one that could be a shocker this year and thats kyle huff, i saw him play some at breathitt last year and he started off real good. didnt finsh the best but you could tell that somethen had to have been going on with him. now that he is at pcc he will be seen alot more and i think this makes pcc hands down the 2nd best team in the region.

i dont know if kyle will be playing that much at PCC ive watched him play as well, and he really is out of control if he is able to control himself he could be one of the best.

Combs from Hazard will be out for blood after missing that game winning lay up against KCC in the regional semi's this year. Mark it down.

oh yes he will...i watched that game and it was so heartbreaking to watch... i wanted hazard to win becuz everyone already clamed that KCC would win.

Not everyone claimed KCC would win.. Ask Aslan

Does anyone know who the linky kid is that plays for PCC? No clue who he is, he must have grown a few inches over the summer he's about 6'2.. Can dunk easily.. Quite the presence down low to be a smaller player compared to the Cornetts. Reminds me of Mullins a little bit only a smaller version.

Big Grin
Hmm Paul Hughs or Tim Combs is probably who your thinking about. There both pretty tall, skinny, and can dunk with ease.

no it's probably kyle huff, paul hughes doesnt play anymore & tim combs never played much varsity this summer.

I think they're talking bout Trevor Kelly. He is a 6'4" sophomore that can get up. He is going to be a late bloomer and by early jr year could be a great contributor.
