#1
I know the 2005 season isn't over yet- but- are there any eight graders who will see big playing time as Freshmen next season (06)?

Give us some names to be watching for next year!!

South Floyd has about 3 or 4 players that will be freshman that will be steppin up next year and gettin playin time, an one of them may be the startin QB if things doesn't change.

I believe Desmond Watts will be an impact player next season as a Freshmen. Not saying there aren't others- but Desmond sticks out in my mind.

What is the QB situation at SFHS and who do you see possibly stepping into this role and why? I can't recall the QB's name form SFMS this season.
#6
Yeah Desmond will be good. The back up QB from last year doesnt work hard or act like he wants to play so I think that the coach is goin to take Tommy Joe Hall (soon to be freshman) and work with him for the next couple of years.
#7
There is another Blackburn!!! But he is'nt a back Smile
#8
Varney & Lovern from Belfry Middle .T-N-T baby yeah!!!!! :Skull03:
#9
Magoffin County Middle School had a player- can't recall the name. The kid was the kicker and a running back. Dark hair- kinda long. Maybe #46.

Also, Inez had a kid- who kicked and played running back.

Both of these players should make some noise on the Varsity level.

Josh Blackburn is my little cousin i was makin a smartass remark, he isnt that great anyhow in football.
#11
the kicker for inez was james goble but he didnt play running back channing smith was the fullback...and tyler grimm i thing is supposed to good for jc

I have heard that Pikeville has a very good RB that will be a freshman next season...his name escapes me right now. I was talking to someone close to the program over the Thanksgiving Holiday and he seemed to be very excited about the young talent that is walking the halls of Pikeville High right now.
#13
yeah
#14
Hey wow his name is C.Harvey and hate to tell you but hes staying back this year. he was also our dtackle.

You must be jokin....there is no way tommy joe hall is going to come and start qb next year....not when he has thornsbury or even ethan johnson going to be qb....beside he is way to small...
#16
ER has 2 good running backs coming in from elkhorn.
#17
Nathan Dillon, Chris Hill and Josh Lackey will be good freshman for JC next year
#18
adams austin McKinney is among the best. he is a utility player who can play both sides of the ball. I think he had around 30 touchdowns this season.

Houston Mcanallen is the kids name and he is going to be awesome but we had another good fullback in J.R. Robinson as well. Houston got all the glory but J.R. did alot of the heavy lifting. Youll be hearing alot about both of these guys.

SF will have a good bunch of freshmen next year

THERE WILL BE A FEW FRESHMEN NEXT YEAR COMING FROM ACMS THAT ARE REALLY GOOD.JUST TO NAME A FEW: HUNTER CROWDER, LOGAN CROWDER, CHAD NELSON,CORY CONN AND A FEW MORE GUYS. ACHS WILL HAVE SOME TALENT TO WORK WITH NEXT YEAR SO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. I HAVE A FEELING YOU WILL BE SEEING AND HEARING ALOT OF GOOD STUFF ABOUT THIS GROUP OF GUYS.

Virgie always seems to have good talent...the problem is that theyd rather play basketball or go to pikeville because it has more tradition...hopefully the new coach can get all the players out and if he can...shelby valley could possibly dominate on the high school level like they do in grade school.
#23
It amazes me that Virgie and Dorton have such power houses in middle school- state championships in basketball and county titles in both baskebtall and football. Then the players just go there separate ways. After these boys (from both schools) get to high school its over. I would love to see them stay together and see just how far they could take Shelby Valley.

maggofin county has a lot of really good potential like the owens boy he will be good and the risner kid will be good in a cuple years (he will be real good) and the helton kid looked pretty good
#28
Russell should have good freshman class for 2006. Wheather any get any Varsity playing time. I doubt it. Unless it's a blow out. Coach McGlone is good for getting players in the game. But as Freshman they should be hard to handle.
#29
Magoffin is getting 2 good d lineman.
