No.. im not saying that. What Im saying is. I gladly take Duke's 4 titles since 91, instead of UK's 7 from 50 years ago. Call me stupid all you want, but I'll take the most dominate program NOW, instead of Back Then!
Yea, UK might have 3 more then Duke does, But was the competition as tough as it was back then!
Whats going to be said when Duke catches UK in titles. uhh. We got one before you?

Their Not Going to catch Them. I could Jump On the North Carolina Band Wagon and say we got more int he past 5 years than you. The Competition levels were the same. The Talent was different. It was the same talent vs talent.

No body is taking anything away from Duke and their 4th national title. It is just a discussion about everyone's opinion on who would win. Same situation that Duke could have said back in 98 and North Carolina a couple times in the 90s. When one of the teams obviously had a bad game that is enough to get you booted by a good team like WVU. The following game WVU had an obvious bad game and they get the boot.
If UK and Duke was to play 10 times last year, UK would have won at least 6 or 7 (no question in my mind).

I think UK would have won last year, whether it had been in the regular season or if we had came back against WVU and beat them. I think it would've made the boys take Duke more seriously IF we had beat WVU and played Duke in the Final Four.
But, both teams were great last year, it could have just as easily went the other way. We'll never know..

There's a reason Coach K has won 4 national titles and is the coach of the USA team...and there's a reason Calipari hasn't won 4 titles and isn't the USA coach. UK fans need to realize something quick before you all have to find it out the hard way, Calipari is an AMAZING recruiter. However, with that being said, he is not a great coach. His offense is not the most effective type ran in the NCAA, and you can see that by the outcome's of his seasons. #1 recruiting class and only an Elite 8 for a reason.
You UK fans are something else. On a UK fan board, UK only got 4 more votes than Duke in 11 days of voting. Some of you can see the light through your blue shades, some of you paid extra for the darker tint.

I think Coach Calipari is a great coach, but he will never win a championship if he doesn't have veterans on the team. Coach Calipari can keep getting #1 recruiting classes as much as he wants, but I personally think he will never win a national championship until a few determined players from his #1 recruiting classes are willing to stay in college for 2 or 3 years and learn how to work as a team. I will never expect a group of freshman (even if they're the best freshman in the country) to be put on a team with players they don't know and try to be the best in the nation.

Now as I don't agree with you on the great coach, I don't think he's a bad coach, he can obviously get teams to click by the end of the year, even if they are freshmen. But, I agree with you on everything else, he will never win a championship until a group sticks around or he gets another team with a proven leader like a Patrick Patterson and a bunch of other awesome players.

He took a team to the elite eight with 3 freshmen in his first year. And hes not a great coach? Just imagine if they would have stayed 2 or 3 years.

Nothing. He don't even have an official final four under his belt. He's proven to be a great recruiter, not coach.

I don't think Miller, Liggins, Dodson, Patterson, Stevenson, or Harris were Freshmen...and they all played pretty big roles.
Your experienced players this year will be Liggins, Miller, Harrelson, and possibly Dodson...so who will carry the team under pressure situations like Patterson did?

CAL is a GOOD coach, not a great coach. He will eventually win a national title in his tenure at Kentucky. I'm not saying that he is going to win alot, but he will win atleast one. And for PC YOU KNOW, you don't have to have a title to say your a great coach. He has proved that he is a good coach at UMASS, he has proved that he is a good coach at memphis, and he has proved it still at Kentucky. When he took over UMASS and memphis they were terrible, but he recruited good and won alot of games.
Now Duke had a good team this year and has one of the all-time great coaches in Coach K, but i'm sad to tell ya that that is the last title that he will win at Duke. From this point on, Cal will win more titles than he will(FROM THIS POINT ON).
Now Kentucky was a bad match-up for Duke, but at the same time Duke was a bad match-up for Kentucky. Duke could shoot and we all know that Kentucky was not that great of a perimeter defending team. But Kentucky was much bigger, stronger, physical, and would have outrebounded Duke double digits. If it was a best of 7 series, I say Kentucky wins in 7 games 4-3.

UK was outrebounded by smaller teams all season long. You can't use that in saying UK would win the game against Duke with that.
I also want you to know that Duke will be better in '10-'11 than '09-'10. Duke might repeat.

Duke will not be better than they were this past season, your crazy. The only reason why Kentucky might had been outrebounded was when the big guys were in foul trouble. Cousins would of had 20 rebounds just him against Duke.
Know Duke will be good, but will not win a national title. I see them as a sweet sixteen or elite eight team.

They have the best PG in the nation coming in, and will be getting a great shooter in Seth Curry, I know it's your opinion, but Duke will be better this year.

That point guard is a beast. Seth isnt near his brother. They will be on the same level as Kentucky. This Kentucky team will not be as good as this past season, but will have a better chance of making it to the final four.
We just got to agree to disagree cuz I know that we will never agree. When has a Duke fan and a Kentucky fan ever agreed, lol. since the shot.

I never said Harrelson did play a role.
Liggins averaged 15.3 mins/game.
Stevenson averaged 7.6 mins/game.
Harris averaged 11 mins/game.
How can you say these guys played no roles?
