I know that PPat had 18 pts (like you said) and went 8-9. I think that ANYONE, I MEAN ANYONE can tell that Patterson was primed for the NBA, whereas a player like Daniel Orton shows so many things to work on and is now slipping to "Project" status. I hate it for Daniel and he is having to go with Baptism by fire to learn that he made so horrible decisions before coming to the NBA. Congrats to PPat and I cant wait to see how the others fair.
By the way I have been hearing that Crawford has been doing good (around 18 pt average), and that Meeks was named to the summer league 2nd team. Sounds that the ole UK players are playing some good ball.

REALLY!! Man that is fantastic that he can translate that kind of stroke from his newly formed college game and make it work in the NBA. I would say that these summer leagues are pretty relaxed and defense may not get emphasized.

Shot his arm off in the first game only scoring 8 combined in the next two, including 0-5 and two points in the 3rd game. Patterson is definitely my favorite UK player and I was hoping he would look better than this as I thought he was the most NBA ready of all the players outside of Wall.

That first game was a monster game.... He will be fine. Patterson made a correct decision in going to the league no doubt in my mind. So he was your favorite?

John Wall's 1st summer game had 24 points, 8 assist, 8 turn overs, 2 or 3 steals. Glad to see he is looking good so far. 10 of 11 from the field I believe.

Just as when he was at UK, get those turnovers down and it make the biggest difference.

Yes, because in his entire career at UK I never saw him complain one time. Even when he was basically made to get out of the paint for Cousins and Orton, he took it like a man.

That was his free throw stats. He was 7-15 from the field.

 Me too. I like to think of him as the Tim Tebow of Kentucky basketball. A hardworking player that's willing to help the team in any way.

I think DeMarcus Cousins got 14 points and 10 rebounds in his first summer game.

Wall vs Bledsoe.

This is fun to watch! Bledsoe and Wall both have picked each others pockets.
07-13-2010, 12:04 AM
Bledsoe a little to jumpy.

Wall and bledsoe going for a turnover showdown! wont be this sloppy when the seasons starts.
There going to have some good shooters around them though.

I didn't see John Wall or Eric Bledsoe play, but I saw their stats. It looked like both players had a great game!

How was it? I did get to watch the Wall vs Bledsoe game. It is exciting to see these players getting to compete against the best of the best and still have feelings for their old friends.

That's why I said believe, I wasn't for sure if it was FG's made or FT's, but thanks for correcting me.

Demarcus Cousins had 22 points 12 rebounds, and 5 assist.. Also hit the game winning shot against the T'wolves last night.

Day 8 from Las Vegas: Wall turns it on in win
John Wall apparently has an on-off switch.
In the Wizards' 90-89 win over the Hornets, Wall turned it on, scoring 31 points and hauling in six rebounds to give the team the spark it needed to rally.
Facing a 16-point deficit, the No. 1 pick scored 14 points in Washington's 18-0 run during the third quarter, getting to the bucket and pushing the tempo.
"I felt like I just decided to get to the basket and see if they could stop me," Wall said.
Through four games, Wall is now averaging .23.5 points and 7.8 assists, but he's shooting just 27 percent from the floor and 13 percent from three-point land.

Good stuff cept' for the 13% from the 3-point line.. Basically the only part of his game that he's missing.
