Report: LeBron James To Join Chris Bosh With The Chicago Bulls
#1
An NBA executive says the Chicago Bulls have emerged as a favorite in the free agency sweepstakes for LeBron James, along with Chris Bosh, The New York Times reported on Sunday.

The executive said he had gleaned from his discussions with other league executives that James is leaning toward joining the Bulls, along with Bosh, his teammate on the United States' gold medal-winning 2008 Olympic team. The Times reported the executive did not want to be named because he was discussing a player who was not yet a free agent.

"I think it's a done deal," the executive said, according to the report.

"DONE DEAL" Lebron and Bosh to Bulls is a Near Certainty According to NBA Executive

The New York Times' Jonathan Abrams is reporting that Lebron James and Chris Bosh are leaning heavily towards signing with the Chicago Bulls. An NBA executive, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that he thinks Lebron to Chicago is "a done deal" after talking to numerous NBA general managers. As we discussed earlier this week, the trade of Kirk Hinrich to the Washington Wizards freed up enough cap space for the Bulls to go after the two vaunted free agents come July 1st. That apparently was enough to sway the King.

James will still entertain other suitors (the Knicks, Cavs, Heat, Nets, and Clippers) apparently to "be respectful to all these teams who jumped through these hoops,” says the unnamed source. As has been widely reported, James will host team executives instead of going on a nationwide recruiting trip.

Dont get your panties in a bunch nothings official yet.
#4
^ i know but i can't wait til it is official
#5
I thought I saw a while ago on ESPN that an NBA analyst that said this was pure speculation.

...Sorry Strikeout King...Hope I'm mistaken.
#6
^ ESPN is where i got this story from! plus all the Bulls Twitter's are saying the same thing!
#7
ESPN Is also reporting that if James Decides to go somewhere else that Joe Johnson Will Be There Guy. here is the article

"Too bad because it's a no-lose for the Bulls. And yes, that's even if, horrors, James stays in Cleveland or goes somewhere other than Chicago. Even if he takes Bosh with him.

After Bosh, and assuming Dwyane Wade stays put, Joe Johnson is reportedly frothing to come to the Bulls, so much so, according to the Tribune, that he would be willing to sign early. At off guard, Johnson would form a dream backcourt with Derrick Rose. Carlos Boozer would complete that picture nicely. The Bulls don't appear especially interested in Amare Stoudemire. But the next-tier David Lee, a restricted free agent and a 20-12 guy, is out there. Ray Allen is too, even at nearly 35"

Well Chris Bosh has been saying that the Miami Heat is his No. #1 team.
#9
^ could be. i wouldn't mind seeing LeBron James and Joe Johnson With The Bulls! The Bulls Need A SG and Bosh Is A Big Man That Plays The Forward/Center Position and James Plays The Forward Position! so either way it should be a win-win situation for The Bulls & Me

The Knicks are going to meet up with Joe Johnson this week...

I think they are going to go hard after him.

Report: Lebron is to stay with the Cavaliers!

Report: Lebron James is retiring!

Report: Lebron is preparing for a run as the President of the United States!

Good lord, every time there is a "supposed" report the hopefuls flock to the light....

All speculation.. That's why they are saying "an executive"... and no names mentioned. I wouldn't count on this at all.

I personally think he will join the Chicago Bulls, especially if Chris Bosh or Joe Johnson goes there! No matter what happens, the Chicago Bulls with LeBron James will be a team ready to win a championship this year and long into the future.

Better watch out Aslan! The Lakers dynasty might have ended already! This decade could be the Chicago Bulls dynasty.

i personally want to see the Bulls Get LeBron James and Joe Johnson, The Bulls don't need another big man, they don't have a SG, unless they get Both James and Bosh and get a SG. i wish they would trade Luol Deng and his huge contract so that maybe just maybe they could get maybe 3 Stars?

i wouldn't count the Lakers out, i would never count them out, there a Great Team and Kobe is like a god for them but they need Phil Jackson To Come Back

And its a dead period on a player not yet a free agent. the Executive would get in deep trouble discussing this.

Agree to the bolded. I dont care where all the free-agents go.. I just hope some land in one team so that a new team can challenge the Celtics, LA, and Orlando for the top seed in the playoffs.

agreed. i kinda do care where the free agents go because i'm tired of seeing the bulls have an early exit from the playoffs! hopefully things will get done this offseason with the free agents, trades, etc. etc. and the bulls get back on track.

if it takes me awhile to reply to this thread its because i'm in rich city and won't be home til later but will get to it as soon as i can

Didnt he say like a week ago he was going to new york?

Anyways if this happens it could be the start of a HUGE 3.

They would definitely be challenged if Chicago get Lebron and Bosh/Johnson. I don't think Lebron will end up there and if he does imo it will be a mistake. It looks to me like he's abandoning his home town if he leaves. The organization didn't put another star around him, but Cleveland definitely had enough for Lebron to win. Best regular season record last two years. He couldn't handle the pressure in Cleveland, he definitely won't be able to in MJ's shadow.

That's my whole point - NO ONE - knows what is going to happen. The supposed experts know no more than us.
