Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones is talking about retiring at season's end, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The paper reports that the 17-year veteran talked about it Tuesday with manager Bobby Cox, who is retiring at year's end, general manager Frank Wren and team president John Schuerholz.

I told my buddies before the season when I found out that Bobby Cox would be retiring that Chipper would likely retire also.
Although I hate to see him likely retire, at least we have someone like Jason Heyward to become the face of the franchise.
