2011 Bell County Schedule
I'd much rather play Cumberland Gap than Bell County but C.G game will not happen.
Wayne has to much to lose by Playing Knox! It would leave a bad taste in the mouths of the Bell County faithful fans. I know the fans want to see this game and Knox does as well. Wayne is not going to take the chance of letting Knox have the chance to beat him. If he did play Knox and got beat it would turn his world upside down. Wayne may say he dosen't want to play this game because it would be to emotional for the players. He is probably right! It would be an emotional game but that is where the coach is supposed to step in and take control. It is not fair to either program not to get to play this game. Both programs have earned the right to play this game and so have the fans. I personally think Waynes worst fear is taking the chance of letting Knox beat him. I am convinced this game will not be played. It is a set back for both teams schedules. It also says a lot about the Bell program and the faith that Wayne has in himself as a head coach. Knox wants to play to try and put Wayne in his place. That is a true fact! You can't blame the players for wanting the chance. I am not so much about revenge. I do think this would be one heck of a game to see. It has always been the game on the schedule that you look at first. It will be sadly missed. I can't wait until we are added back to the schedule in a couple of years to see two great teams go at it once again. Good luck to both teams until we meet again.
Dropping KC from the schedule is total bull crap!!
This is Mills' first mistake, and IMO it's a big one.
I don't think that Bell is afraid of Knox since they have handle Knox the past 10 years. This is a good move by the Adminstration to put the game off for a couple of years.

It is beyond me how you got Bell was afraid to Play Knox! Listen let me make it LOUD and CLEAR so you can understand! Knox wants to play Bell. Bell wants to play Knox. Knox fans want to play Bell. Bell fans want to play Knox. Wayne Mills does not want to play Knox because he has to much to lose and he knows it as well as you do! Does that explain it to you any better? Anyone that loves football and have seen these two teams play in the last 4 years wants to see this game. I hope the Bell faithful step up and let you know that you are not speaking for the majority. What can you gain by not playing Knox? What do you think the problem would be? Give me your reason why bell should not play Knox and I am sure your own fan base will slam you! Put up or shut up!
Maybe we can put Knox to rest. Boyle has the same week as we do. Week 4. If Mills puts them on the schedule what a plus for the program. Then I think you silence a lot of people.

Would sound good to me. Those have been 3 great games the last 3 years. Wouldn't mind seeing a home and home for 2 more.
Bell vs. Boyle best of 5. Again I will say what a game.
Boyle asked for a game earlier in the scheduling process but was turned down. Of course that was before Mills was named HC. I would love to see a home and home. Great for both teams.

Trust me Boyle will not be on the schedule, I know Wayne to well. You can try to put Knox to rest and that is fine. We all know why Knox has been droped and I can live with that. It is a shame that these two programs are not playing. Ten miles apart and probably the biggest crowd that has ever been in mountain football! Wow! What a mistake.

absolute 100% in agreement
I totally agree that Knox should be played. It is a black eye on the program. However, it heals very quickly if you replace them with Boyle. Win or lose a tremoundous amout of respect gained.

It was not the biggest crowd ever in Mtn football. I can promise you. It was the biggest crowd ever in KC football.

 It was their biggest crowd ever.
Bell turned down the largest gate of their season....by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be played.

Ok Bobcat_DAD I was refering to the game if it was played this year. I guess you can name a lot of games that you have been to that had more than KC vs Bell last year. All I herd from Bell during our play off last year is that it would be the biggest crowd that has been in mountain football. We had more at KC when we played Bell than when we played at Bell. I think everyone on this thread has been talking about the schedule this year not last year. Get up to date on the thread.

Thank you so much. I agree 100%

I think Prototype is a "GENIUS". Has to be! To be able to predict so many different variables to play out that would make this as large of a crowd. Example: it could come a good rain at about 6:30pm and puff your crowd is gone for the most part!
I guess the problem is we will never know. We backed out.
WhyLie Wrote:I guess the problem is we will never know. We backed out.

Good thing about it, is if its the good Lords will you and I will wake up tomorrow and it will be a whole new day, full of other things we can complain about.
Seems like alot of people on this thread have alot of hard feelings about Bell vs. Knox. Maybe you should just get over your coach coming to Bell and move on with your life. I can feel the anger in your posts and that is not good. This has always been a respectable site, dont ruin it.
I think that if you take acloser look that they are more of us Bell fans upset that the game was cancelled. I don't think that they are mad the coach left. Why take the game away. I am waiting on a Bell fan that thinks that the game should not be played. (Honest Post) I'm sure they are a couple, out there. But if they put a poll on here I would bet it is overwhelming in favor to play.

"Ever Been" sounds like past tense to me??? :eyeroll:So you were referring to this year?

Sounds like you have a personal problem with the decision. I suggest you take it up with the administration. If you are trying to divide the support, no such luck my friend. Get over the fact the person you wanted didn't get hired and move forward.
WhyLie, great suggestion from Ladycat09. Take it up with the Adminstration. Its hard for me to believe you are a Bell fan.

Again, as a fan does one have to agree with everything that is done. I am in no way trying to divide.....and I would like to see the game played. I have stated that lets see who replaces Knox. Boyle and Christian Co. have it open. If it is that caliber team great.

I noticed that the lady never gave a response to the question. I know that Red is not a fan of Bell.

I don't think it is really a good idea to play the game. But opinions are like....well you know.

I just noticed you continually work on stirring the pot. I know if I had as big a problem with it, I'd talk to someone that could do something about it.
I have expressed my opinion to both the principal and Mills. With as many coaches that are on here that is the way I express it to the others. So iwill put this here since I stir the pot :devilflam
I would like to see the game played but I can understand why it isnt being played. Everything is too fresh right now. I think it would be hard for the players and coach Mills to be put in this situation. I can see the game being played in a couple of years, but not now.

So, if I where you and none of them would listen and I had voiced my opinion to all that could make a change happen. Then from this point on, surely you are smart enough to know that you need to let it go:HitWall:
