Belfry vs. Lou. Central (3A State Finals)
#91
In what was a season of believin...Good Luck to the Pond Creek Nation...Bring the trophy home...
#92
Pulling for Belfry........but may be to difficult to overcome Central speed and athleticism. Belfry has to hit the in the mouth early and often.

Belfry in the underdog role this week against a quicker, more experienced Central team. Also was the Underdog at Undefeated Mason, and Undefeated #1 Somerset

Belfry is playing their best ball of the season right now and are peaking at the right time. I still say Belfry hasnt had their perfect game yet....Maybe it's Saturday in Bowling Green

Go Pirates!!!
Mason was not undefeated. That game was a toss up. Belfry was favored against West Carter, against Russell and even Somerset was a toss up as well. There are some schools that can't play the poor lil ol me underdog role. Belfry is one of them.

Thank you, I wouldn't want pity from anyone & I don't feel bad about saying I expect us to win.

This team should go out onto the field expecting to hoist the trophy when the game is over. If it doesn't happen, life goes on, but no one plays for 2nd place.

In my mind, State titles are the only goal all season, every season.

I will be rooting for the Pirates but I just don't see them beating a team that faced 6A competition all year and defeated the defending 3A state champs by 17 points!!

Central - 35

Belfry - 14

Belfry 28-21.

remember somerset had like 6-7 turnovers in that game, and for that many turnovers 21-0 wasnt that bad, should have been worse..

 Now come on FBALL...if you guys could play that card against us, Sheldon Clark, and Pike Central..then certainly we can against those fast city boys.

I am 60/40 right now in favor of going. I just got home from Southern Mississippi about an hour ago, and with the holidays coming up there will be a lot more driving in my future.

It's about 6 hours to Bowling Green. Too bad there aren't commercial flights into BG.
Room is reserved, truck gased up, and clothes are in the process of being packed..... So very proud of these young men! Nay sayers, eat those words from the beginning of the season!!! Smile The Pirates are playing in the big show.... We believe in the dream!

could be wrong, but imo,Belfry beat a good Somerset team so I've gotta say Belfry...even though I know nothing bout them...I thought Somerset would have won it all this yr.
common sense Wrote:well, isn't that special but if it's all the same to you we'll just load up our buses, waste our diesel, and play the game before we hand out the hardware.
Common sense you are funny!
I hope Belfry can come away with the victory but the must contain the speed. Belfry hasnt really faced that much speed in the regular season but they did before the season started. They scrimmaged a very good Hazard team that has speed but probably not as much as central will have but Belfry has got a lot better since that scrimmage and I am very sure the reason Haywood scrimmages hazard is because he knows they have kids with speed and it can get his kids better for the season.

Good luck to the pirates this week bring it back to the mountains
cuppett777 Wrote: this is Mr Whales in action...

From that video this kid looks like a real good back. Not just fast but it looked like he could find holes hit them hard or wait for one to open. And in the open field it didn't look like anyone could catch him. Good luck to both teams but I hope central pulls this one out.
I'm in love with Tawnya.. hehe..

Tom is not my friend....

if you have any questions send me a p.m.

"come on man" they got shut out in the state championship !
I bet PT had something to do with their turnovers.
Wales is a good RB, but something that may have not been mentioned yet is how good the Central QB is at carrying out his fakes on EVERY play.

Belfry must play assignment football and send 11 red jerseys to the ball carrier on every play.
