I found one on the school website, remembered they put one on there. Although that big mess beside the field is no longer there and our stadium is now up and looking better than ever. The construction is where the new baseball field, tennis courts, and softball fields are going.

What's worse than having no visitor seating?
Having very, very limited visitor seating and fans who are willing to come to blows if you sit on the home side when the visitor side fills or if it is raining and you want to be covered like the home fans. Horrible parking for big games, decent playing surface but tendency to get muddy and beat up. Top 10 in the mountains but definately not at the top.

Amen. If you take more than a few steps behind the visitors' seats (portable, 3-4 row wooden bleachers), you will be on your way down the hill to the river. You would think that a program that has been as successful as Breathitt, would have a better setup. The covered home seating is unique and you're right, the parking is a nightmare.

Yea, I didn't drive over there. I went to my girlfriend house that night. I don't know about the man over there. I would rather do something else than go to a game like that.

What do you Belfry fans think about JC field last night? How bout the atmosphere?

Not until they get visitor seating and a better pressbox... they went from "bottom rate" to "very nice" though.

1. Belfry (Plenty of room, great setting, great environment, easy to get in and out, great facilities)

2. Johnson Central (Read above, except I like the Belfry bowl setting a little bit better and it is more difficult in terms of parking at JC)

3. Shelby Valley (Ample room, turf, lots of parking)
4. Letcher Central (would be higher with better visitor seating)
5. Somerset (Huge, nice setting, good parking, a little outdated though compared to the others)

Somerset??? Very much outdated and the field is one of the worst to play on. Not to mention the Restrooms....are you kidding me?

The field is beautiful!!! Great stadium and atmosphere. Seating on both sides are very nice. Concession stand is also excellent. The parking wasn't too bad, kind of a long walk to the stadium, but got out easily and quickly.
Now for the Bad.
1. Please quit playing music while the visiting team is on the offense, very classless!
2. The track around the field has got to go, puts you too far away from the field.
3. There were a few Eagle fans sitting on the visitor side, don't know why but seemed odd with all the room left on the home side. No big deal, but what was the motive?

Not while they were getting ready to snap the ball. I would guess that 75% of the time Belfry's offense was getting ready to snap the ball the music would play right up to before the ball was snapped. The music stopped when JC would break the huddle.

I will not give a field consideration unless they have nice stands on both sides. I am at Powell Co. & I think it is aweful not to have visitor seating. A good field must have good seating (on both sides), Good concession stand, clean bathrooms, roomy visitor & home locker rooms, good parking, etc. Throw out Breathitt. No visitor seats. Parking isn't that great either. Also, the field drops off 6-8 " over on the visitors sideline. Ankle breaker for visitor as well as home teams!!!

Belfry has all of those things. And there Great!!!!

Yes they were!! They were to the right of me, facing the field in the top corner. Again, I had no personal problem with it, just seemed odd. You all were very respectful and to my knowledge never said anything out of the way. Now, I don't know if any Belfry fans said anything to you out of the way or not.

They put it in prior to the 2003 season if I am not mistaken.
