There is nothing to be happy about when you hang 75 on someone. I don't care if Valley deserved it or not you should be the bigger person. Lawrence was on the wrong side of some bad scores recently and they know how it feels. There is no excuse to score like that. You have your kids step out of bounds and kick field goals if you have to. I am glad Lawrence County is getting back to where they belong, their community deserves it. But Lawrence will continue to feast on this soft schedule and then will famine when it comes playoff time and Knox & Bell come calling.

If Bell didn't play up I wonder who did? The breakdown that I have had East as the first into 4a. The 4a class is going to be loaded especially if Highlands isn't allowed to continue to play up in 5a.

How can you kick FG's from 80 yards away? I think that is what a ton of individuals on here don't understand. I think they only had one TD that was less than 26 yards. Most were from over 50.

I guess they could not run out of bounds? That was listed in my post also. You can go out of bounds just as easy as you can cross the goal line.

Well do you teach your kid to step out of bounds when there is no one around them or teach them to score... I think if I was on the other side and they started stepping out of bounds I would feel even worse then if they scored.

Exactly Batpuff. I have never seen a kid step out of bounds when he has nothing but green in front of him. That's crazy for even suggesting.

Like I said either earlier in this one or another thread I would feel worse if they were to stop at the three yard line and give me the ball back than if they scored. I think that only happens when I'm playing the backyard with my kids. So are you saying that a team that gets beat like this is a bunch of little kids? Well they are kids but they aren't little and they need to realize that life sucks sometimes but no one is going to have pitty and give them nothing. If they want it then get it.

Another thing with the proposed new classes next year they would both be in the same class and possibly even the same district. Not likely on district but I would see the same region as a strong possibility.

It is a varsity game and you can't pull your varsity players after 1 quarter. Hopefully when we get to Inez in 2 weeks you guys will be ready to play without a running clock.

Lawrence county is racking up quite the track record of classlessness.

Last year The blowout victory over Paintsville they had a massive celebration on the middle of our field. First victory in two years or not act like you have been there.

Last year after they got what was coming to them they trashed bell's away locker room resulting in a already financially strung schoolboard having to pay for repairs.

Fast forward to this year you have 2 clear instances of running up the score. I was quiet about it after it happened but why would you call a timeout just to get the ball back before the half to run it up on paintsville. And now they leave their starters in against valley until the fourth. There is no excuse for that.

Of course the bulldog fans will always have one.

I don't know about all of this running but I suppose you could have the third string tailback run to the sideline, hand a cheerleader the ball,grab the pom poms and do a cheer. The lead blocker could grab the drums and play a tune. Seriously you can't send a kid into the game who hasn't played in two years and tell him not to play. Check the schedule,examine skills and work a little harder. If it's close to the end you might take a knee. I am not a LCor SV fan.Just a fan of the game.

The fact remains LC is in a no win situation right now. If they barely win or even lose against most on this schedule then they really weren't that good. If they win all the games then it is because of their easy schedule. If they truly are as good as many think and they play to that ability against the schedule that they have then they are running up the score on these other teams. Let's just get through this season then play these and similiar teams again next year as district and regional games and all will be forgiven. LOL

Screw "class". The name of the game is to score as long as there is time left. I graduated from Jenkins 16 years ago, and Ive seen teams drop a million points on them since then (and half that many last night), and I dont believe in the whole "they ran up the score" thing. If your beating a team 80-0 and theres 2 seconds to go, try to put it in the end zone.

Amen, sir. This whole "you ran up the score" crap gets old. These kids practice their tails off every day. That includes the backups. They work out there every day just like the starters do. Their parents and families help raise money, drive them back and forth, and when those kids get into the game on Friday night, those parents get excited. Those kids might get to play one or two downs all season. And people really expect them to not do their absolute best when they get in the game? A kid may get in for one play all year, and somebody really expects him to RUN OUT OF BOUNDS?

Hey man, this has been explained to you in other posts, there was no fake punt, it was a busted play and it was either run with the ball or get it blocked, please watch the film if you have any doubts..

RUNNING UP THE SCORE ON PAINTSVILLE? Are you out of your mind? Hunter James had 6 carries, Caleb Bentley had 4, and fullback Jacob Marcum had 3 the entire game. The varsity was pulled after halftime. I've watched the game twice so I know the JV played the 2nd half. You have a agenda and it shows. You better start worrying about Paintsville and not what Lawrence County does.

ZING!!! #10 Aj Cyrus whom is the Freshmen QB was playing the majority of the 2nd half against Paintsville and so was #27 Skylar Salyers.
