To be fair, Adam had some very big shoe's to fill after the loss of Burchett. He still has some confidence issues also, but he'll get better as the season goes along.

Didn't we return basically everyone on defense? There's no excuse for this kind of effort from the D. They just flat out sucked tonight. All I heard was missed tackle, missed tackle, missed tackle. Don Compton said they had at least 20 missed tackles in the 1st qtr alone.

The defense graduated, Cameron Tincher, Tyler Hall, Austin McKinney, Zak Key, Josh Craynon, and Josh Blackburn.

McKinney was our best defender, Tincher was our fastest player, and Craynon was our best lock down defender.

I too, thought our defense would be better than this, because coach James and coach Chirico have done some great things with what guys we had. But we also have a very young team too. We only have 5 seniors on this years team in, Griffith, Slone, Turner, Stovall, and Kendrick.
