Well I hope it comes down to Paintsville/Valley and hope both teams come out on fire. I would like to see a overtime/double overtime game.

well AC's stats were

Crum- 28
Hammonds- 18
Prater- 14
H. Crowder- 10
L. Crowder- 7

And as for Hammonds, yes he had some turnovers but this is very unlike him, normally just a couple a game. and as for Crum, yes 16 threes is alot for one game but he made 7, if someone is shooting 40 something percent from downtown, i would love for them to shoot 15+ 3's per game. But as for Landon Slone, i think he proved tonight that he is the best player in the region, and he is D-1 material. Congrats Paintsville and keep your heads up AC

Lesser Competition? What makes p-ville schedule a powerhouse, when they have played lc with a record of 4-12, magoffin co. 3-16, powell 5-12, SC 5-10, BL 6-11 just to name a few. IMO Sv schedule is a lot tougher. P-ville did beat some good teams in Lincoln Co. 13-3, Anderson Co. 10-4 . It's not the kids fault on the schedule. Both AC and P-ville have winning records. Didn't p-ville decide not to play in the consolation game when someone got hurt, could be another loss in the fifth third classic.

I don't recall Paintsville playin Powell County, they played Perry. Cov Cath had already decided not to play the consy game before Paintsville even played Lex Cath. Their coach came to coach Runyon and talked to him about it and coach Runyon went with it. Paintsville didn't back down if that's what you are tryin to say.

This is the problem with eastern ky basketball fans. You think by downing another teams players you make yours look better. Slone is a great player with a good supporting cast. But so are other players on other teams including Crum. Look at his stats for the year not one game which was still pretty impressive so next time you can make an intelligent comment and not look so bias.

Well...thank you for all this info. I never get to read any newspapers.(duh)
But just so you can "be in the know". I tell it like it is. wether it's my team or not. I didn't say anything to be negative and yes, I have only the one game to go by and all the hype I have read on here. So much that I had him in my top 5 players in the region sight unseen. Crum has a nice stroke. And if that is all anyone is concerned with, then they don't know as much as they pretend.
As far as this game went Slone and Grimm were the only 2 that shined in my book.
But here.... go ahead and get me started...........From the game I saw.....Hammonds is the best player AC has bar none! The only problem I saw with him was that he didn't impress me with passing skills. I liked the rest of his game a lot. Crum took a lot of shots, made 7 3's, played defense about like I would. Not trying to bash....just call it like I see it. I do that even to my own fav. team......just ask 'em! LOL
