Who goes to the carpet next year Hazard or Pikeville?

TRAIN85 Wrote:If you understood anything you would know that the first part of my post was in response to what you said about Beechwood. There are goals inside of goals, which is what I was talking about. To get to the ultimate goal you have to start at the beginning and take it one step at a time. That is what the first goal is. After all the regular season is done each playoff game is to be taken one game at a time. After the playoff games have been won and you are in Louisville then you can talk about winning the state championship. There are still to many factors that will play a part in Pikeville and Hazards success in '07. Factors that we have no control over and can't predict until they happen. Such as injuries, kids quitting, kids transferring in/out, changes in staff, replacements for departed starters and how will they do and so on.

OK I'll make one last post and probably be gone for a long while. Pikeville's offensive scheme is awful, it isn't Pikeville football, and it will never beat anyone, everyone hates it, and blame is being spread everywhere except where it truly belongs - the offense. The staff makes excuses why it continues to be run, and fail...bad line the first year, quarterback this last year...there will be another excuse to run it next year, and it will fail again...would love to eat crow, but all I'll have to eat is more excuses.

Im more than sure the Coaching Staff at Pikeville would run a different offense if there was something better suited for the players they have available to play the positions

A Decent Lineman Wrote:Im going with hazard for two reasons...the first is that hazard is only losing 3 players on defense(a safety, d-end, and a Corner-all replaced) and 5 on offense(4 lineman-replaced, and Colby hoskins) so they have almost the same team as last year!!! which leads me to reason #2 the fact that they already beat Pikeville in Round 2 of the playoffs this year with basically this team. and hazard's jv also beat Pikeville's jv..and those are the players stepping up...and I also believe hazard wants it more than the panthers do.:1:
Losing 4 offensive linemen is a big time lose to anyteam, linemen build chemistry with one another and if they don't it goes all to hell and back for the team. neither team will make it to louisville. neither one of them are good enough if u ask me.

Pikeville will beat Hazard by as many as they feel like, if Hazard makes it that far (which they won't.) Mark this post. 42-6 again. It remains to be seen if Pikeville can make it any farther than that though. Probably not.

No, it wont be like that....it will be another close game that will go one way or the other. Pikeville WILL be good next year, Hazard should be. Im really looking forward to next season to see what happens, but idk whether or not hazard will have the team to beat next year after being in the weightroom with the players we have. I HOPE so...but i will say hazard will be the real dead in two years tho. Good luck to both teams next year!!!
#69
next year hazard goes to at least the fourth round mark my word spring football and summer football will rebuild a o line, pikeville will be a 3rd or 4th round contender also tho...
#70
They should go that far next year...Hazard should have gone that far last season but failed to beat the now 3a Somerset. Next season should be an exciting one for both teams.
#71
it should be a good season for both teams-= if pikevillie really does have 25 seniors coming back - that's astounding. but anyways good luck to both teams ; Hazard and Pikevillie.

Blackcat80 Wrote:Neither!...Every year people in class A around the mountains think they are going to have a good team. Don't get me wrong they usually do in most cases but Class A mountains can't compete with New Cath, Beechwood, LCA, and other northern school. State Semi's is all it is going to be for many years to come!

New Cath is 2 a..I dont know about beechwood or lca but if im not mistaken they are also..they werent last year it just came into effect this year

Beechwood is in a new region I think, maybe a new district, but none of the mountain team's would have to play them till state, but they would have to play LCA for region if they make i that far

between pikeville and hazard, i would have to take pikeville

Blackcat80 Wrote:I mean if you are asking who will win in a game between Hazard and Pikeville I think Hazard will win rather easy. Pikeville lost too much....Harmon and the Honakers can be the greatest athletes in the world but when you have no line you will fail.

someone is a little mad from last years loss p-burg vs. pikeville

Pikeville will play on the carpet next year for sure..... at WC Hambley Athletic Complex in Pikeville against Louisville Holy Cross on August 25 in the Pike Co. Bowl.

ADL said it best when he said

The only thing that matters is the off-season, spring practice, more off-season, finally the regular season. One game at a time.

Shurtleff didn't play against hazard 1 down in 06 reg/playoffs

Good post Panther1...yes we would meet pikeville in the 4th round..lol. We have to go through A LOT of good teams before then.

nope he didnt play at all after hazard reg season

Have to say Hazard,Pikeville lost some great players
#88
idk, if pikeville stays smart and keeps the ball with tim & ted they might be able to pull it off. but if the black boy (not racist) #5 isnt a senior he'll be tough to handle..thats who pulled them back last year.
#89
Well he is a senior and somone forgot about the Daniel Harmon boy, every game I watched i seen him make some tremendous plays to help that team alot.
