Not at all, it was an excellent post but I wanted to clarify. Looks like we agree but most people automatically assume Belfry's #2 being available would change the outcome of the game. There's nothing wrong with people knowing it wasn't a 1400 yd. rusher, it was a new guy with 4 carries in his career, right?

I wouldn't let what they say on that -other- site bother me. There are very few over there now who know much about EKY football. It's the single biggest reason I came over here. As a mod there I was occasionally made to feel I had to defend every small school team from east of Mt. Sterling on the "top 10" rankings. That gets old quickly.

Pulaski's #1 defense has only given up 1 TD so far, that was vs Rock.

Williamsburg will not be mentioned in this thread Coach Herron Always moves the second unit in and he will not move them out doesn,t matter that they may score. What he does is the right thing to do,

Exactly my point they don't run te same defense against other teams that they do against us, the way you stop our offense is build a wall of fallen bodies to force the action outside to where the speed guys can swarm

Watched the game last night. Pikeville did cut, but not every play. I saw many plays where there was no cutting at all. If I had to put a ratio to it, cutting occurred (wholesale or just one or two people) on maybe 50% of the plays, maybe. But it was fun to watch the game from a different perspective. FWIW, EKBTV did a better, clearer job of following the action than WYMT does. I enjoyed the broadcast. Now, YMT uses a lot more roving camera shots, so that may not be completely fair, just my opinion.

I'm entirely convinced, after watching it, Belfry will be just fine from here on out. Good luck to the Pirates.

Williamsburg has the best, all world defense, rivaled only by the Bengals and Ravens in their smash mouth tempo. They are to be feared near and far by everyone, and even Nick Saban is coming to town to take notes. My ranking is thus: hh:

Yes I did. Didn't realize how much it impacted the Belfry run game though, because it is so diverse. But it really, really played to our speed strength. Also, I got even madder at how close Pugh was to breaking off that TD run. Shoestring tackle. Man. Kudos to the kid who saved that TD though, because it allowed us to run more time off the clock punching in the clincher. Lol

Yeah, Central has such an abundance of athleticism, it is almost embarrassing.

Their opponents are a combined 2-14. I don't think they've played any powerhouses Harlan, Knott Central, Morgan County, and McCreary. They've not been tested and likely won't be, by their schedule, until they play Prestonsburg. I believe they'll find out real fast they are nowhere near the top 5. Can't even smell it unless downwind of it.
