Jordan Amis named Perry Central head coach

KCC Football,
Not wanting to get in an arguement with you but an 8-4 record at Shelby Valley seems pretty impressive to me. Valley is a basketball school. Another thing, who else could of won at Iroquis and Morgan County at those times? Heck Steve Spurrier probably couldnt have. You got to have players in order to be good. You can be the worst coach in the world and still win if you have the talent.

No arguments here just stating facts. 8-4 is good but with 3 other losing seasons and not even trying to stick around and build a base is whats bad. You do have to have players but a great coach can turn what could be a 0-10 team into a 6-4 at least.

Look at the competition they played. This was before pike was decent. Tug is awful. We were awful. Bath is awful. Idk about clintwood. Leslie was down. Morgan was bad. East ridge is horrible.

No dog in this fight, but to win any games at Iroquois is a plus and to loose to the 4 teams he lost to at SV in 09. P burg had Burchette and went 13-1 and lost a heartbreaker to DeSales, Clintwood Va. Played in championship game in virginia, Lawrence Co. 12-1 lost to bell in the region, and Corbin who went 10-3 loosing to P-burg in the region, has to be a good coach. I've heard nothing but good things about him. 1 winning season out of 4 at those schools isn't bad. It's defiantly better than someone who has never coached, no disrespect to Amis, I've seen him play and I think he'll well. He can't go wrong keeping Norman on staff.

I took the Morgan county job to watch my son play at MSU, He was in a car accident that ended his career before he started. I moved to Louisville Iroquois and it was a place where building wasn't an option, I loved SV and would still be there but the football coach don't run the program. It just wasn't a fit for me. I'm happy Jordan got the job at PCC he will do a good job, the kids are what's important not the coaches. And our kids can play! Keep me out of this and stay positive for their benefit of the players at PCC!!

Some of the better football minds never played a down of football. They stood back and analyzed the game and found out what worked and what did not. Many players just do what the coaches say without any knowledge of why they are doing it. Coaches should never dismiss advice, just be strong enough to make up his/her own mind in the end.
