Belfry0304 Wrote:Crowd was pretty bad, but I agree with your logic about Taker... but the fact is they created a moment that shocked everyone. The "wanna be" bookers, the IWC, the casual fans... everyone thought this was just another easy W to eventually either retire undefeated or lose to a young star like Reigns... but they shocked you and everyone else and I'm okay with that.

I am shocked when my neighbor screws around on his wife, but honestly I really don't care! I'm shocked when the President screws around on his wife, I get more interested in that!

Brock going over on Taker may have been a shocker, but it will garner ZERO interest! So, what was best for business, saying I pulled one over on the "Smarks" but buys you ZERO? Or drawing interest that has payback on a young guy that draws money for the next 10 years? I could care less about the WWE laughing at me yesterday, but today, it is me who is laughing at their business ignorance!

When you talk Professional Wrestling, you talk about storylines! Well, the story in this one is NO STORY!

How the hell do you know? You don't know what's next... They might have a plan!

Yeah they just mentioned it on Around the Horn so they definitely generated no interest. It's a shame the title game is tonight, Raw ratings would be huge

How the hell do you know?

Yes, they have a plan! The same plan that brought in Batista to headline Wrestlemania. That went over so well the fans pissed all over that!

Yes, they have a plan! The same plan that pushed Zak Ryder, and internet sensation, to tag team with John Cena and the fans took to that like Chicken Shit!

Yes, they have a plan! The same plan to fill the ring with Diva's, and acutally think it would draw interest!.
.
Yes, the plans they keep coming up with are the kind of plans that caused CM Punk to say their plans are ridiculous, and he said piss on it! So yes, a car crash raises a whole lot of interest and everyone rubber necks to get to see it. But once you get a mile down the road, you forget all about it! Having Brock go over UT will draw the rubberneckers and a big rating today today, but will soon be forgotten tomorrow because the booking of this was ridiculously stupid and no one will care that a guy who is already a main event guy and is only contracted to appear 12 times on television of PPV for the entire year, got the biggest win in WWE History! Yes, that makes perfectly good sense, and they can go no where but UPPPPPPPPP now!

This isthe same booking committee that wanted to legitimately squash Daniel Bryan, but Daniel Bryan got himself over when he took the comedic role that was meant to punish him when he did the AngerManagement gimmick with Kane! No, I have zero confidence that they have a PLAN!!!!

The Sting rumors are heating up online again...
#66
^ We'll see if they hold true tonight!!!

Not holding my breath.

Dusty, all I'm asking is you wait before you judge. Maybe there's some kind of plan. You know they don't book long term anyways, so just watch and
enjoy as is.

Zaga fan, It isn't showing up but if that's the video of Sting saying his favorite # is 31 I have 3 thoughts, 1) I hope they do something with him the right way. 2) I hate when wrestling fans start chants in small environments like that. 3) even more than chants it's completely inappropriate to chant Holy Shit because sting is a religious man. If it's a different video, disregard

^ I was just giving you hell - It's hard to show that on a post.

I get what you are saying, but watching the replay of it after the game, it looks like they have NO PLAN Sad

Hard to tell, it was Taker's decision though! I think it may help Paul Heyman the most of anyone. Dude is a legend.

I said it in April, I repeat it now - What a WASTE to have Brock be the guy to go over Taker! WASTE!!!!!!!!

Well the plan was for him to come back to win the title at Summerslam, Bryan's neck kinda screwed them

No way was the storyline with the "Corporation" going to take a 180 and go to Brock! Not possible! The Corporation storyline was headed all the way to Wrestlemania.

Agree to disagree. I got to see the newest member of the Dust family debut this past week, by the way. In person.

From everything that I have been told, Brock has never been considered for any time being booked for a title match. Brock is a special attraction. Brock will bring in the exact same number of PPV buys wrestling other guys, so you do NOT waste him in a title match. It's not "Good for Business"!

Then why is he getting a title match at Summer slam?

I have seen and read online where WWE was considering (not sure now) putting the title on Brock.

LOL, SK, look at all the threads you have posted over the last year and look at how many I have said were WRONG!!!!! Read your dirt sheets and believe them just like the lamb that you are..... :-)

WWE has a poll up asking the fans who they think should face Brock at Summer slam for the WWE Title.

Like I said, I did read online awhile back that WWE was considering putting the title on Brock (including from your cagesideseats website) but that could possibly have been changed by now. Unless it came straight from Vince McMahon's mouth or one of the writers mouth I wouldn't believe anything until I see it on tv or hear it straight from them. Words these days get took out of context so bad. I do know that WWE has a poll up asking the fans who they think Lesnar should face for the title at SS. I just read online that he could possibly be facing the winner of the money in the bank ladder match.

We'll just have to wait and see. I do hope they put the title either on Lesnar or one of the heels (Preferably either Bray Wyatt, Kane or Randy Orton)
#80
Never heard of this before (including from your cagesideseats website)

I got the feeling they were gonna let Brock take it off of DBry at Summerslam, and let Reigns/HHH be the Summerslam attraction. Probably let Brock reign til Mania or so, and Reigns take it off him there? That's just what I gathered. I'm okay with Brock going over Taker still, I don't need a story or anything like that. Something surprising is fine with me. I don't think Taker could've went out putting some young guy over or something, so at least they built a nice heel monster that may only work for a few months before putting someone way over.

You were the one that gave me the link for the cagesideseats awhile back

I think it's gonna work out perfectly, actually, to build a big face.

Cena wins the title at MITB, Lesnar whips the ass off of him at Summerslam which infuriates children everywhere, making him a monster heel (also beating Cena clean for the first time in a year even more legitimizes him) and he can hopefully carry it until Mania and put Reigns over. I too have always been under the impression that Lesnar was getting a title shot at Summerslam. It works out perfectly to bill him as an unstoppable monster and instead of a young guy going over Taker (automatically making him hated), having a young guy go over the monster who beat Taker, then took out Cena, and become the face of the company.

Conversely, Cena is the only person this works for. Orton, Wyatt, Del Rio, and Cesaro are all heel, so they couldn't wrestle for the title against Lesnar. Sheamus would work, but it doesn't re-establish Lesnar quiet like beating Cena, and Reigns is too early to take it yet. He could win it and then defeat Lesnar at Summerslam, but that doesn't make you want to see Lesnar lose as bad. I mean, this is all opinion, but in my opinion that's the way it's most likely to go down.

HOWEVER: You also have to consider Cesaro in there somewhere, because he's primed for a push, and Daniel Bryan as well.

This is part of JR's blog

Quote:Anyone that thinks that Brock Lesnar won't be the WWE World Champion sooner or later this year in WWE isn't paying attention. Lesnar is WWE's mot imposing, name worthy, PPV selling superstar who can PASS THE TORCH the best to the next "Big Thing" who seems to be Roman Reigns. As I have stated on my fantasy booking segments on the Ross Report, I fully expect this to go down at WM31.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at WM 31? I'd love to see it happen.
#85
I could live with them doing the Cena wins the ladder match/Lesnar hurts him at Slam/Reigns goes over WM booking....

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Brock just masquerades the title around and doesn't appear on Raw every week and defend the title regularly (which he won't) - it would be another snooze fest.
#86
^ That could work. If WWE doesn't put the title on Reigns soon they are stupid. He's gonna be one of WWE's top superstars.
#87
It's not time for Reigns yet...

Couldn't agree more.

Reigns WILL win the title, but he has to stand in his own two feet as a singles competitor for a little while.

Shield pops were bigger than the pops Reigns is getting right now.

Man that I don't know about I was at Raw last week and that place went nuts for Reigns in the battle royal, and we all thought it was so obvious he was gonna win.
