Lol, these type of fans make me sick. Was you expecting a 10 win season? Are you ever expecting a 10 win season? Go cheer for someone else then comeback during basketball season. What a joke.

2. Petrino doesnt need a good recruiting class. The guy can flat out coach. I dont care if you hate him, you cant say he isnt a great coach. If Petrino stays, watch him beat UK next year with that unranked class while our number 7 ranked class, which will be frosh by the way, is still shaking there head.
IF Petrino was at UK and Stoops was at WKU, then UK would have won by 4 scores yesterday.
Im not saying i dont like Stoops, because i havent had time to judge him yet, but we would have been much better off with Petrino. Stoops has already shown his weakness by putting Whitlow at QB.
And what kind of freaking "air raid" only get 16 passing yards in the first half against WKU???? As soon as i seen Whitlow was starter, i knew it wouldnt be an air raid. We might as well plan on running the ball all year.
UK wont have a good QB in the backfield until Barker is a soph or junior, and thats only if Stoops starts him, or makes the right move and goes ahead and put Towles in.
Doesnt need talent? LOL This guys had loads of talent with every program he has ever won at. College football is all about talent. Without it, you dont win. ITs very clear we dont have it. Your giving all kinds of credit to this guy for beating us with WKU, When they did the exact same thing to us last year.

By the way everyone, Western Kentucky isn't on Kentucky's schedule next season.
Yes, Petrino would have won with UK. Hes a lot better coach then Stoops.
Secondly, WKU isnt on the schedule again because were embarrassed to lose to them.

No Gut, he wouldn't have. Nick Saban couldn't even came to UK and won and Sabin is a far better coach then Petrino. Besides why would Kentucky hire a guy when he would just up and leave after the first season, and have to go through the hiring process all over? Don't make sense. We needed someone here to build the program up, not someone who's gonna up and leave after one season.
It's funny to see supposedly Kentucky fans bashing Kentucky after getting beat by WKU. Everyone was expecting Stoops to up and turn Kentucky around in 1 game, not gonna happen. It's gonna take at least a year or so to get things going in the right direction with Kentucky Football. For all you bandwagon fans, we don't want ya or need ya if all your gonna do is jump on the bandwagon once Kentucky does something good in football, so go somewhere else.

Western has a veteran defense with 9 returning starters and at least two NFL drat picks next year. One st linebacker and one in the secondary.
A veteran offensive line and a stable of Big physical running backs.
None of which are there because of scumbag.
Stoops had none of that. Talent won that game pure and simple.
Scumbag is a hell of a coach but a loathsome human being. But he didn't have to be a great coach with what was handed to him.

What's going to happen if one of the big boys don't hire scumbag this year and scumbag can't maintain the level of success and talent that Taggert brought them up to? Oh it won't be pretty.
There is a reason Taggert bolted for sunny Florida. Hr knew WKU was not sustainable for the long run. Scumbag knows that too and knows he has to take advantage of the gift that was left him.

Like Petrino or not....he is an outstanding college coach. He had what I considered one really good recruiting class at U of L. He has a great offensive mind. He can get more out of less than a lot of coaches. Don't overlook the fact that UK has what many consider a "scumbag" for coach in Cal. Don't let the pot call the kettle black. I was not a big fan of Petrino at U of L, but there is no denying he couldn't coach. 42-9 is a hell of a record. What he did at Arky was pretty good too.

I like mark stoops I like bobby petrino. I trust stoops and have no problem with UK hiring and am also rooting for petrino at western. What he did at Arkansas was awful. But not as bad as guys like tressel, paterno,Bowden,or chip Kelley. Yet those guys are all held as saints. I mean Bowden oversaw an academic scandal that that involved something like 20 players.and Paterno is self explanatory. What's wrong with rooting for a a good comeback story for a person that made a mistake?

I never said he couldn't coach and I've never been a huge fan of Calipari either. Although his transgressions were cleared and actions don't compare to scumbags.

Here is a shocker!
Max smith has been placed at #1 on the depth chart all by his lonesome. Whitlow is now #2.

He should be. He needs the guy in this air raid offense, not Whitlow. Whitlow needs to be a Randall Cobb type player

A LOT of college coaches that are glorified today have done things 100X worse than Petrino.
Some of you dont like him because he wins.

I once heavily disagreed with Gut, but the guy was right.
I dislike Petrino, but if UK wanted to really win, we should have went after the guy, transgressions or not.
Petrino is one of the best in the game.

I don't like him because he's a scumbag.
Name me one place that was in better shape when he left than when he got there.
Loserville?
Atlanta?
Arkansas?
That's a no on all 3.
Yes the guy knows his football. But he is a disease and a scavenger that lives off of others in the short term until he has used them up and then bailed for another host.

Really? Loserville? Arkansas? Have you looked at his record? He owns UK. 5-1. If not for an Arkansas fumble in UK territory...could be 6-0. I will name two places he left in good shape. U of L and Arkansas. The cupboards were not bare. Kragthorpe and surprisingly, John L, were huge flops and left the programs in bad shape. UK hires one of the biggest known cheats in college basketball and Petrino is scum? Unlike Cal...he doesn't need a bunch of five star recruits to win either. So what's Cal and AAU coach/shoe salesman World Wide Wes (who is scum too)? No difference. Petrino and Pitino's scandals sure don't help recruiting. Either you are a hypocrite...or maybe just plain ignorant. I'm pretty sure the guy would still be at Arkansas had he not gotten fired. Maybe he gets his act together. Time will tell. Scum or not....I have always liked watching Petrino coached teams. They are well prepared and they win. WKU is a chance for Petrino to make things right. I wish him well. U of L fans understood he probably wouldn't stay...it was the lying about it that was an issue. You can't blame him for moving to a better situation. Now that U of L is in the ACC the chances of keeping a coach around longer is much better. Strong can just about write his own ticket now. Stadium expansion talks are in the works and looks to be another step forward. So you might want to get use to U of L being around. Not to mention Western who also is enjoying two straight wins over UK. Loserville...not lately!

Yes Loserville and Arkansas. Both took or will take years to recover from scumbags departure. That's not hypocritical or ignorant. That's a fact unless you are just inherently stupid.
I didn't even bring Auburn into it.
Yes he can coach and yes he wins during his tenure. But as asked earlier. Show me one place that he took over that was in better shape when he left. You can't.

Kragthorpe wasn't considered incompetent until he inherited that hot mess.
