Very impressive win for the Briar Jumpers. Theyve certainly made a good case for being the top team in 2A after this win.
Congrats!

Somerset was more aggresive and played with more emotional and jumped out on Danville quick. #24 and #34 for somerset was MEN on both sides of the ball and was laying hits all over the field.
The whole Def. played well. You are right #34 and #24 are men. You better bring your lunch if you want to beat these 2 on any given play.

Jumpers lose a starting d end, starting outside backer and long snapper in Hinton, and have an emotionally exhausting evening the night before the biggest game of the year all to come out and physically dominate the admirals from start to finish. If the jumpers play like this for the remainder of the schedule you would have to think they are going to make a deep run in November and maybe, just maybe be the first Somerset team ever to be the last man standing in december

Somerset completely dominated Danville. Absolutely awe inspiring to watch, you could tell they really wanted it. Now these kids have something more to play for than just themselves, they've got 2 kids to win for and i believe they will do just that from here on out.

You wouldn't think that little fellow (#34) could squat 700 pounds, would you?

A Big thanks to the Somerset Team, Coaches and Players, for giving everyone from Somerset something to be Proud of on a most trying night. Super effort and preperation for this game. Finish the season this way and you just may do something that has never been done at Somerset High School. Good Luck and Thanks.
