Three person committe calling this one! The principle, Dave Wright, and Brad Stultz. Good luck this time. Maybe they can get it right!

It sounds like the principal will make the call. Prolly a football friendly coach.

I hope they work as well as Copley and Fraley did together. It's great to have all the sports working together.

Zero basketball players played football last year at Greenup. Your point?
04-26-2010, 10:52 AM
Randy McCoy is at GC today.
04-26-2010, 12:24 PM
On the surface, it looks and sounds as though Greenup County wants to make basketball as weak as possible. When the leading candidate is one who has never coached varsity ball (girls don't count in this equation) something is bad,bad wrong.....

Is the baseball coach being considered?
04-26-2010, 12:31 PM
I think he may be an assistant....... A fine young man, just not ready for this job.
04-26-2010, 12:44 PM
That would be poetic, McCoy as coach. That would make the school board the Hatfields.

When can we expect this fiasco to be over? Ive heard that South Points Coach will be interviewed. He is a super person but will he put his two sons (both guards) thru the ringer that they would face a Greenup. He should call Taz Cooksey and c what he says.

Parks will be hired in the next couple of days. He will do a great job with these kids and with the baseball and football coaches. Will be a great asset to this program for years to come.
04-26-2010, 01:29 PM
Will be Nickell or McCoy.
04-26-2010, 01:31 PM
Much better candidates weren't even offered an interview..... Mr. Parks best stay where he is. If he isn't a "yes man" he will never survive the politics.
04-26-2010, 01:44 PM
Who didnt get an interview?
04-26-2010, 01:52 PM
Im hearing the same thing as Fred. Aunt Ester told me Nickel or Mccoy and decision might come today.
04-26-2010, 01:54 PM
Lamont told me that Brandon Salsman from Lex Cath has called about the job today. He could be the big fish they have been waiting on.

Fred Sanford Wrote:Zero basketball players played football last year at Greenup. Your point? My point is that Fraley has all the basketball players lifting in Copleys class and GC now has 4 basketball players going to play football this year. I think thats a pretty valid argument for Fraley and Copley working well together.

I have been in contact w/ Brandon Salsman at LexCath. He has not been in contact w/ Greenup County.

I was told that someone has been offered the job. Anyone know who?

Mark this down people.....cuz it won't happen often but, I have to agree with Kosar.......It all works much better if the coaches share the athletes.

McCoy would be a solid hire, but what the Musketeers need is a good PR man that can work the town.
Something that has been missing there over the years.
They should have just hired Joe Hampton the last time this job was open.

I agree, players need to stay active in other sports and lift weights all year around, even during the season, plant your seed in many fields because you never know which one might grow!

Here is a shocker! The administration is mulling over jerking the offer to Mccoy and going with Keith Adkins. I think that this is terrible but it should show Randy Mccoy how things are done GC style.
Adkins is a great coach but doesnt even have a teaching degree to my knowledge. I bet the brain trust at GC doesnt even know this.
Im also told that the hiring committee has just been added to a long going lawsuit by Coach Hicks.

I heard this very same bit of info, Jake. I'm glad that, here in central KY, we don't work in this way........ Will G.C. ever learn?
