I'll take ten Tubby's over one Pitino.
I love UK Basketball but let's face it 99.7% of all college players basketball careers end in the last season. I want my kid to play four years under Tubby and then move on.
PItino is good. His power is in recruiting but Tubby won that championship because the man knows how to coach.
Tubby's weakest link is he is afraid to lose the high profile player in less than four years therefore he will not recruit those kids. Pitino is in it for the bucks and the glory. He wants fast success and is a master of getting it.

PITINO!!!! Was there ever really a choice?

I want the best of both Pitino to recruit and Tubby in the last min of a game.
Rick's up and down push it style, and tubby's D

pitino

hahahahaha.......ill take little Ricky in this one. Personally, I dont like him at all, but ill give the man credit, he can rebuild programs like nobodys business, he took small nobodys and made them formidable (Boston U. and Providence), and he is the man all of you UK fans can thank for returning your team to glory. He can coach. Period.

is this even a question?
RICK PITINO!
like someone said before...tubby won the nat title with ricks players...since then uk hasnt been to a final four...weve had some good teams but no success in the big games...
pitino has already taken lousiville who was KY's little bro and put them in the final four...
i mean really...this is not calculus or somethin...
UK has got just as much talent as any team in teh nation but i just dont know whats wrong...
if uk could get pitino, they need to get him

I'll take Ricky.... for many reasons.. Tubby is an embarassment to the Kentucky program this year.

Pitino

pitino

Pitino is a 10:1 better coach than chubby
01-19-2006, 02:26 AM
I like both. However, I would take the Gonzaga coach over both of them. Look what he as done with a small school like Gonzaga

I like Tubby over Pitino. I think the only reason Pitino has any success is because he was at Kentucky. I believe Kentucky is young and that is their only problem right now. I think Tubby will get them working together and into the Sweet 16. Go CATS!!!!!!!!:bounce:

I disagree....y couldnt pitino win a championship in 97??....sure tubby won the 98 championship but he was on the sideline coaching not pitino...Pitino has built his team at louisville and yet Uk has won the past two meetings.....Tubby can out coach pitino..and pitino can out recruit tubby....If i was down 1 with 2 seconds to go I would want tubby drawing up the play not pitino

ORLANDO is the man

Pitino.........no doubt.........GO BIG BLUE
01-25-2006, 07:20 PM
T-U-B-B-Y! Oh yeah. Tubby outcoaches Pitino, Pitino might outrecruit tubby. But, look at the class of 08. Tubby brought in Crawford, Morris, & Rondo. I dont know...but I would say thats good recruiting.
Even w/the kind of year UK is having, I say that UK will go further in the tourney than UL.
Tubby's win % is also slightly higher.
How many titles did Pitino bring? nuff said.

Yeah, so why didn't Pitino win in 97' with a team that should have it handed to them? Also I guess Roy Williams still doesn't have a National Title under his belt because he won @ North Carolina with Matt Daugherties players...
