LOL....This is the funniest post i've seen in a long time. You just supplanted Neerfan on my top 10 list.....JC is a very good mountain team but I'm sure they know what lies ahead in week 3. Highlands had something to prove in Ft. Thomas when these two teams meet again and it won't be pretty.....:flame::flame:

Many thought that JC could have pulled off the upset last year and almost did just that....Don't think Highlands doesn't remember that game. They will be runnin' on all cylinders when these two go head to head again.

Good luck eagles make the county proud. 56-7 jc.

Good, that is what great teams are supposed to do. If Highlands is as great as they seem, the results will take care of themselves.

J.C. by a bunch. As I have said before ,they have turned the corner and started down the road. Too bad there is a big coal truck waiting down there. Good luck eagle players.

JC will beat Scott but not by much. When they play Cov. Cath, they're done. No need to wonder about a Highlands scenario. I take back my former opinions realizing that I've given JC way too much credit.......:worthy:

From what I've seen of CovCath, I can't say I share your optimism. They're not a very good team no matter how you spin it.:flush:

You saw them against Highlands. Nobody looks good against their defense...

jc wins easy

It seems that many of the people who are dogging JC not being able to win this game are the Highlands fans, and they don't think they can play with Cov Cath either... Don't you wanna play JC again? hh:

As being a Scott fan and as my son also attended school there, I will be pulling for Scott in this game. I know my son is good friends with Scott's QB in the form of Zach Sowder. I'm a big fan of Sowder as well. He is one of the best multi-sport athletes in the entire state and always leaves it all out on the field.
He throws the ball, runs the ball, makes tackles (MLB for the team), picks passes, deflects them, returns kicks, returns punts, kicks extra points, does kickoffs, and he might have even punted the ball as well!
I'm just hoping that Zach, as well as the other seniors for Scott, will go out on a good note... or better yet with a win!
I believe Johnson Central will win this game but here is hoping that Scott is able to pull of the upset...

If I was JC i wouldnt even bother up showing up against Highlands if they make it that far. I mean from what I hear, these boys walk on water. I heard that God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost couldnt even beat the bluebirds.hh:

I'm not trying to be mean. I am simply stating my opinion. We'll all see soon how it's going to play out. No offense to the JC squad.

JC is better than you think. They're roll Scott by atleast 4 td's.
As far as JC-Covcath...that will be a close game. I guarantee neither team wins by more than 14.

Highlands is a great program and has a great team this year. One thing for sure, the Northern kentucky teams know JC and where the town of Paintsvillle is. Even with our down year, Scott, Cov Cath and Highlands will have to beat the Eagles to move on. I feel very comfortable with all the Nothern Kentucky teams thinkning we are a cupcake, bring the attitude with you.

Actually...JC better bring the attitude with them. IF they get by Covcath in the second round they'll be travelling to Ft. Thomas to meet the Birds.
Highlands has won 30 some odd games vs Ky competition...FWIW.

I think Central play's there best games away. Last season their only two losses came at home regular season and post season, and two years ago it was like 1 at home and one loss @ Belfry in the regular season.

JC will prepare for Scott and then Cov Cath before they think about Highlands. We have heard the Highland crap before, we know they are good, but we are getting closer every year and Matney will conquer them in time. probably not this year but JC will get them.

This Highlands fan thinks that JC will cream Scott and will beat CovCath. And I've seen all three teams in person this year. I can't imagine any Highlands fan thinking that Scott will beat JC. It's not going to happen. I really like the Sowder kid; he's one tough little football player. But he can't get it done all on his own.
JC will grind the ball on CovCath, whose defense is still not close to being on par with the great CovCath defenses of old. CovCath has a decent offense and will score points on JC, but not frequently enough to match scores with JC (that is provided that JC does not return to its fumbling ways of the early part of the season).
As for a possible Highlands JC matchup, it's a ways down the road and Highlands would have to have beaten a good Ashland team, but if both teams were to make it that far, I think it would be a decent game in the first half, but in the second half, Highlands would pull away. JC has most of their skilled players and I think one lineman playing both ways. Highlands has no one playing both ways. That makes a huge difference in a ball game between evenly matched teams and an even bigger difference if the two platoon team is even just a little bit better than the team playing kids both ways.
Having said that, I'm sure the JC kids would play their hearts out and would represent the mountains extremely well.

Getting closer every year? JC has played Highlands one time and got defeated rather handily on their home field. Let's not forget last year was one of JC's best teams ever and still couldn't conquer the Birds.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for the JC program and what Matney is doing down there, but Highlands year in and year out will always have the superior program. Highlands simply doesn't lose to in state programs and this year won't be any different.
When and IF these two meet, I think some of you will realize why Highlands is touted the way they are. Playing in Ft. Thomas is much different than playing the Birds down there in the mountains.
Good luck to JC this week and next week against Covcath. Highlands will be focused on Montgomery Co and then either Ashland or Dixie.

I think your predictions are wacko, whackem. JC is a very nice football team that has improved dramatically since the beginning of the year. They had some big difficulties with the qb fumbling the ball as he was making the reads. But that's behind them now. I've seen them play. They are pretty good.

JC was running up and down the field on Highlands last year until the big "strip" was returned for a TD. That was a huge play in that game, but JC played Highlands tough and I believe will do so this year if they get that chance.

J J Jude has 200+yards with three scores as Johnson Central wins big 45-14. Good Luck Golden Eagles.

This is not the same JC team that played HHS last year. They still have a good backfield on off, but they are much smaller up front on both off and def. I do not believe HHS has much trouble with JC this year if they make it up north.
