Bell County @ McCreary Central 10/23

leecoukfan Wrote:well cocky or confident, bell co fans act like they're undefeated and can't lose!! Which both those statements would be false because Alcoa took those glorious bobcats out behind the shed and gave them a good old fashioned whoopin at log mountain!! This again is a home game for McCreary and again they're undefeated at home, believe it or not they know who they're playing and im pretty sure that they're gonna be psyched up to have a shot at bringing down bell co. They're gonna bring they're A game and give bell co they're best shot and i think they truely have a good chance of pulling off the upset. As long as they stick to the gameplan and stay focused on their individual assignments.

I have seen a ton of ridiculous posts on this site but this one takes the cake. :yikes:

Do you not realize who Alcoa is? Also you obviously have never seen Bell or McCreary for that fact.

Please

Yes i know who Alcoa is all too well! I already had that argument on another thread because, AGAIN, another bell co fan came up with the crazy idea that they were better than Alcoa! My point is that apparently everyone thinks that bell co is invincible and they're not!!
#33
First off I am not a Bell fan. I respect their program and what they do tremendously. If you had any idea the work they put into it you would not be so quick to speak negativly of them. I don't think any of them think they would beat Alcoa but it would be a competitive game for 4 quarters. Most look at the final score and think wow they got blew out, that is far from the case it was Bell 14 Alcoa 7 at the end of the 1st quarter. Bell just ran out of steam early against a team with 90 players.

Lets not get carried away! i will agree with all rational statements but that statement is no where near rational or logical!

I agree bell has a great program and they work hard to be great. I respect them 100% and it is only fitting that their fans bragg about their accomplishments. It never makes me mad when fans support, bragg or back their team up 100%, but I do get frustrated when fans turn their back on teams that hit a down streak!TongueirateSho

Here at Bell we have some fans that get carried away but I still think all in all we're a pretty good group of people. Our program doesn't disrespect other teams. They'll work just as hard this week as they would any other week.
Good luck to you guys!

I agree 100% HOP. Bell has dealt more whippings on my team than anyone around. But I still respect the heck out of what they do and what they stand for. It is amazing to see the high level at which they play at being a public/County/Mountain school.

McCreary is improving and I am very glad they are but they are not ready for the likes of KC, Rock and for sure Bell Co.

Yeah, I guess that tale has already been told this year! A coach who is a good friend of mine once told me that at times you can play a perfect game, read all your keys and play all of your assignments to the best of your ability and if the other team is bigger faster and stronger they will still probably win, All you can do is work harder in the off-season to close the gap for the next year!TongueirateSho

Bell rolls big it wont even be close the closest MCcreary will get will be 0-0 the 7-0 then 14-0 then it will be JV time but you make Alcoa about the third or fourth game of the year and if Bell dont win then it would be real close im talking 1 maybe 2 touchdown difference

Not wanting this to change the thread but I've seen this comment a lot from Bobcat fans. "If we played Alcoa now . . ." It's not doubt that Bell has just begun to get better as the year progresses and there true peak is still out there somewhere.

But don't you think the same could be true of Alcoa? I mean other than Maryville, Bell and Scott are the only teams to score 14 and 15 points on them. Don't you think their defense has improved too? I mean this is a team whose closest win is 17 points against a 1 loss power in Maryville.

I know it was a MC fan that threw out the Alcoa game but it shouldn't call for some apologetics that "if we played now . . ." Bell lost to a very good (and at the end of year might be labled very Great) Alcoa team. It still doesn't detract from the fact that the Bobcats might just be the best team in 4A in KY once again.

Mccrary central is a good team would be a great one if they were in class 1A...But there not they can not match up with bell in any position.....I called a shutout and hold to that......Bell shuts them out and wins by 50 + to show all of you that dont like bell that there the real deal.....

This thread is humorous as heck. I'm lovin' it. Keep the posts coming!!

Alcoa is loaded with athletes. They're two to three deep at almost every position. On our best game we might could stay within one to two td's. They're that good. I think you're right about Alcoa getting better as the year goes too. I'm sure they're even better now. So are we but it would be a very tall task to upset them. Everything and I mean everything would have to fall right for us. Win or lose though, I'm glad we were willing to step up and play them. That says all one needs to know about Bell's football program.

I knew what you meant. You're post was taken the right way. I agree totally.

I have to disagree with Alcoa improving a lot over the year. They were a senior laden team with 18 starters returning. They were running a top performance early in the year I would think. Also the state of Tn allows multiple scrimages in the pre-season so they already had 4 scrimages under their belt before the 1st game.

House of Pain I agree with your post, just b/c you read your keys and do your assignments don't mean you will win. Watch EKU play UK this year I bet EKU plays pretty good but still loses by 4-5 TD's b/c they are outmaned. Just b/c Bell will beat MCC does not mean MCC did not play good.

Ok as long aseverything is understood dont need you on my bad side either got to many already...lol

We'll just agree to disagree on this one. I think most teams get better as the year goes regardless of what class most of them are in. I do see how Bell could improve more over the year than Alcoa but I can't say that would enable us to beat them.

Who said we would beat them. I said it would be close for 4 quarters.

Hatz so you are on the Haters squad now. lol

Centre would not be a good move for Boyle's games. If Bell makes it they (Boyle) would be losing the homefield advatage and lots of gate money due to size.

I shouldn't have said beat them. My point is, they got better as the year went as well. From team to team I'm sure we improved more because of being young. But, they did get better as well.
I think we would play them closer now. I would be well saitisified staying within two-three td's playing them.
