Two that stick out the most are Elisha Justice & Landon Slone.

With the history that Paintsville has, look at the all-time leading scorer JR Vanhoose, not taking anything away from everything he accomplished, but he played a lot of Varsity as a 7th&8th grader, so he had 6 years of Varsity playing time. Landon is 2nd all-time leading scorer and done it in 4 years. He could score at any level on the court, a great 3-point shooter, but could also get to the basket and loved the mid-range. He had a work ethic unlike anyone else in the region when he played, that right there is what separated him from everyone else.

Elisha certainly had all the accolades, Mr. Basketball & State Champion, but just the way he conducted everything for those Valley teams was special to watch, a true point guard. Scored when he needed to, he had some big-time buckets in that State Championship, but the way he would facilitate, he literally knew all the spots his teammates excelled at and he just had an incredible ability to find the open man, and he was great defensively too, quick laterally and active hands.

There's been a lot of great talent in this region the last 25 years, but those 2 names I think have been the best.
