Just something else for the lunatic fringe of the UK fan base to be upset about. Some of Big Blue Nation aren't happy unless they have something to be miserable about.

Nah, even though he was born in Corbin, I don't worship him. He was Big Blue through and through, though. I can't see him ever putting on an Arkansas shirt.
I loved watching him play in HS(even though he and Russ and Russ made it very hard for my school to have success against them. Loved watching those teams with Farmer, Farmer, and Chadwell.

"First let me say that I'm pissed over this, and I have been pissed over it since Saturday night. My honest opinion is that Reed simply tried to be too cute. He's a small-town kid that has hit the big time and on Saturday night he tried to be "cool" and when Kentucky lost, it backfired majorly. There's nothing more cringy than someone who is noticeably trying to be "cool" and Reed has taken this on. It reminds me a little of when Tim Couch was with Green Bay as a back-up and bleached his hair for the "frosted tips" look.
I'm not mad that Reed is trying to pay homage to Cal, I'm disappointed because he invited controversy with how he did it. He thought this would be a clever and cute with this stunt and it just came off as insecure and dumb. Cal is your guy? Fine, send him a private text to tell him you're rooting for him. That wasn't enough for Reed. He wanted to be cool and display it out in the open to fit in with a group that doesn't have any college hardware but they do have the fact that they played for Cal.
Make no mistake, had Reed won anything of significance during his short time at UK he would not have done this. He would have understood the grit and determination and the meaning of accomplishing something for his team and he would have never tried to take anything away from that. He didn't win anything, so now he has to pump up the fact that he played for Cal because it's frankly all he has. "
