I do think PT is a really good football team. All 4 teams left are, I just wish they would have played somebody really good during the season to get a good gauge. They played good teams but not the best of the best

The only opponent I’m seeing that impressed me was Mayfield, I’d like to hear from some Mayfield fans is PT the real deal or is Mayfield having a down year this year….

Make no mistake, this Tilghman team is the real deal. Deeply talented like those early to mid 80's teams, so it is best to pay no attention to the schedule. They have confidence and swag which also can hinder them at times with lack of discipline. The depth of the receiving core is up there with the state's best ever. Martels Carter is 6th statistically within this group!

One thing no one is mentioning ...... their defense has been undervalued all season mostly due to the offensive fireworks. Everyone knows about the speed, but they'll hit hard too. Turnovers almost always turn into points due to immediate or gainful returns.

The Redhound offense vs. Tornado defense will be the most interesting part of the game for me. The Redhounds also have loads of talent and I believe they'll make this a very entertaining game. Note: both teams have excellent kickers.

IMO, the key to the game will be which defense adjust the quickest and plays better, who can establish the run when needed (cold weather effect?), and turnovers as always.

I won't make a prediction because I think either team can win. Obviously, Paducah Tilghman gets a slight edge for being at home.

I think Tighlman’s weak schedule and lack of competition will catch up with them Friday night, IMO it’s hard to play a schedule like that and be prepared to play a top four team in 4A , I’ll take for Corbin the win and I like their chances at winning the 4A State Championship!!!

You can never tell about playoff Tilghman. I feel like they overachieve when they're average and underachieve when they appear to be really good. I watched a couple PT games early in the season and I was very impressed by their speed and size. At the time I thought they could be the only answer to Boyle County in 4A. Obviously that wasn't the case, but for me I still think they are the favorites in 4A with Boyle Co. gone. I'm thinking a decently high scoring game here with a final around 41-28 in favor of the tornado.

I hope they never beat Mayfield again.  I hope my Hounds inflict a lot of pain on all those illegal players. GO HOUNDS!!!  I talked to Coach Salmons. He said the kids had a terrific practice today. They'll be ready. The trip over won't be an issue. Corbin is leaving Thursday afternoon.

The Blue Sky have been the object of KHSAA investigation for recruiting violations. It was talked about on here back in August. Do you think I just make up shit out of blue skies?  Where there are investigations, there is usually fire somewhere down below. I'd say they are cheaters, much like Johnson Central.

PADUCAH — Since the Kentucky High School Athletic Association paved the way for name, image and likeness deals with high school athletes, accusations of improper recruiting efforts have come to light, and the policy has only been in place since the 2023-2024 season.

The association has launched investigations into Paducah Tilghman High School and McCracken County High School — both accused of wrongfully recruiting players.

A series of screenshots has been acquired by WPSD-TV that purport to show a local man, Matt Moore, sending messages to parents and students encouraging them to come play sports at Paducah Tilghman High School.

The messages appear to come from Moore’s Facebook page. Moore told WPSD his account had been hacked twice, adding that he thinks it was probably done by people “associated with McCracken County Schools.”

“We need to look at getting your son to Tilghman. For football and baseball is (sic) he has any desire to play in college,” the message read.

The recipient of the message responded, “Oh trust me i (sic) know but when I looked into it he would have to sit out a year… Cause we live in county.”

“Well I have people who have lots of houses in the city so don’t let that stop you. If it is something you would like to explore I would be happy to assist,” Moore replied.

“Like rental property,” the person responded.


I don't know if the KHSAA ever wrapped up their investigation of the Blue Sky athletic program. But, probably where there's smoke...

Ace Ventura puppy detective If you had read MY response back then, I had stated that it was a story about baseball, NOT FOOTBALL. Granted there were several that jumped on the speculation train out of sheer jealousy.
Go ahead and search for some more articles that have come out since then and you will find that it was no more than a couple of parents on a summer travel baseball team sending messages to each others kids. It was just between Tilghman and McCracken mind you.
So right there it is, that’s your big smoking gun .

Now please, name these “illegal players”
Heck you can crack this case open right here and reveal it all to the KHSAA. Once they read it you might not even have to drive 4.5 hours Friday.

Paducah starters haven’t had to play a whole game all year. If it’s a game in the 4th quarter it will be interesting. I’ve watched PT  last two games on YouTube and their competition has been terrible, I mean utterly terrible. If Corbin’s DBs cover, I think Corbin wins by at least two scores. If Corbin’s DBs give up big plays, PT will come out on top.

It was enough for the KHSAA to launch an i=official investigation. And the messages from Moore said baseball AND FOOTBALL. I'm sure there's some stu=ink going on somewhere. The Tornado should be playing Johnson Central for the sh!thole Bowl trophy. We're Corbin, not Graves County, boys!!!

We noticed against Ashland the secondary was playing perfect coverage on the Ashland receivers. The Frederick Douglass game what I saw was so much gap between the receivers everything was open in the passing game. So from that game till now, Corbin looks to have paid close attention to the film and team at hand and Ashland is very similar to Paducah Tilghman in the fact that they throw mainly screen passes to the flats and to me that will determine alot in this game. Corbins Dline was after it in the Ashland game and other than a penalty that gave Ashland a first down, 1 big running play is all I remember that was given up in the first half. Now, thats not to say there wasn't other nice plays by Ashland but the Corbin defense looked efficient. The key is adjustments. I have looked at this part of the game for a while only because it is the one thing that has hurt Corbin in the last 4 years. You cant not leave the same 4-4 defense when a team lines up double tight ends. Just don't work, you also can't leave a gap of 7-10 yards on a reciever when you are playing a good receiver team with a QB that can pass.  So when I watch film, I look for the spacing and adjustments when a team is getting ran on or passed on. A team that makes no adjustments sits at the house. Ask me how I know. Every time a team goes home, if its my team I follow or one that Im a fan of, I look at the film and take a peek at the defense, then it never fails, someone got caught watching the game instead of calling a time out and applying the problem on film to the field. You have to try stuff in a game, disrupt. That disruption don't happen when your dline has to hold up the guy in front of him, it happens when he has the freedom to run towards the QB and sack the dude. Well, I don't know how many sacks or disruptions I saw against Ashland and thats new for Corbin. Thats why I say, this defense looks the part. Now Paducah Tilghman will be a nice challenge because they have 4 receivers that are tuff. But Corbins defense sees one of the best offenses everyday in practice and QBs. So I think Corbin will not be surprised when the play Paducah Tilghman because they see it everyday. Now also in fairness to Paducah Tilghman that defense also sees one of the best offenses in the state. So they will not be surprised when they see Corbin. So it will come down to who can handle the pressure and execute the game plan for either team.
