This team just simply was not as good as the Breathitt faithful thought they were. A few players on this roster were the same players this year that they were 2 years ago. There's a big difference between interest and investment, and a big difference in development based on that fact.

Let’s be honest, coaching means nothing when you have the best talent from all across the country every year.

I think coaching is very important for the talent to reach it's full potential. Talent alone will not get it done. It takes discipline and perseverance, those are the things coaches teach that are just as important as X's and O's.

It takes good coaching to gel teams together and bhs had no gel all year. Turnovers and defense reflects coaching to some extent also. Bhs stunk at this too.

Hope they can put together a spectacular game and beat GRC. I think they can do it if they keep turnovers to a minimum and work the ball around enough to get good looks. Rydge has to take care of the basketball, Day and Napier will have to help more than usual handling the ball. Good luck boys, y’all can pull out the W.

GRC by 30 plus no doubt. 14th region is weak and will be exposed Wednesday night.

Debbie downer...?
He seems angry that Perry won. Breathitt would lose by 75 points, too bad we won't know because Perry is better than them and beat them twice.

Perry was just the better team all year. They play together and most of all the defensive effort they bring is phenomenal. Thus the turnovers we saw in the game, they pressure heavy and Breathitt played out of control and never was in sync. Perry was just the better team all year and it showed. Sperry is a player and tons of potential.
When Noble was at Buckhorn, he developed players and they knew their roles. Breathitt played their best game all year in the ALL A. They were not consistent and the 14th was overall weak this year. BTW, heard Noble and Holland have took an interest if Knott job opens up. Knott has reached out to both them. I don't see either going anywhere but Noble might should have stayed at Buckhorn where he was. Won a championship and made a trip to the Sweet 16 not too long ago at Buckhorn.

Breathitt did not have any guard play. Coach Cal couldn’t done any better. Turner was a 4 and had to handle the ball. Luke was a spot up shooter and Sperry was a 3. Sometimes you have to have kids that can dribble and pass. Size don’t win every battle.
