KYcoalminer Wrote:Congrats to the LCC cougars. I wish them the best of luck, but all I hear is everyone talking about how good they are and they might be a decent team, but by no means are we world beaters. Currently, the teams we have beaten have a combined win total of 12 wins. 1 has a winning record, Perry Central. At the end of the season, LCC will be in the same boat since the inception, not beating a team with a winning record. Grant it, LCC has a great chance to win the district, AND I HOPE WE DO, but wait till that third round of the playoffs when HIGHLANDS is the team on the field, and then we will see how "great a team" LCC is when the clock will probably be running after the half........
If we can make it to the Highlands game, than it will be a successful year for LCC. Playing against a team with as much history and tradition as Highlands would be a great stepping stone for this program. However, you KYCOALMINER, seem to turn everything into a negative. If we go 11-2 and don't beat a team with a winning record, I will still be happy and I would hope most of the fans would, considering our record the last two years was 8-12.

The cougars have been the biggest surprise of anyone this year. When you have a legend like Coach Howard, and his son calling alot of the shots on offense as well, you cant go too wrong. I think they will be a powerhouse in Eastern Kentucky for years to come.
