That's pretty good. But to be honest, I would have bet the farm that they had played more than 34 times. That would make the series beginning around '85, correct? I dont know, I just thought it would have been in the 50's or 60's. I only starting keeping up with Kentucky high school football really hard about 15-20 years ago. I'm assuming Pikeville was maybe in another class at one time for them to have not played more? I wouldn't think they'd be in different districts at any point. Interesting question for me though if someone could answer it.

First game was in 1984. Current information has them playing twice in 1986. Did not play in 1985 or 2016. Just by looking at schedules quickly, Pikeville appears to have been AA from 1977-1983.

That’s true. But let’s not talk about that game. Lol. One of my biggest heartbreaks. I was so sure that was going to be our 1st state title. That team wasn’t flash and dash but they could beat you on the ground or through the air. It was a long ride back over the mountain.
