Lawrence's win over Western Hills was a great story and a playoff win for the ages. Unfortunately, Boyle will be too good...much like UK running into Georgia...it was a great story and brought a lot of excitement while it lasted.

It was 28-14 at the half. Wasn't a situation where Belfry unloaded the JV and allowed LC to score some points.

I donât think so I remember listening to some of this game. Hopefully one of the Belfry fans can enlighten us.

Please don't fool yourself into thinking I compared Greenup's passing game to Boyle's passing game. Just saying, Greenup was supposed to throw all over us. In no way was this any sort of comparison. Just saying the Dawgs have been overlooked all year.

Fair enough.
Our middle school program has a better passing game than Greenup.
Safe travels!

Bad week at practice? Haha.. I remember we turned the ball over after it was 14-8 Powell, kind of swung the momentum and we never regained it. Got down to the 1 yard line of Powell right before the half and if I'm not mistaken we had 3 or 4 shots to get it in and we couldn't. Went for it on 4th down on our side of the field and didn't get it. Not making excuses though. Powell beat us, and that Skidmore kid is tough. If I'm not mistaken Powell has won 17 of their last 20 games.

Good luck Boyle, hope you or Belfy make it to Kroger Field

To bad LC couldnât save a few tds for this week, they will need them for this Boyle group. Wonât be a very interesting game Boyle to much talent and coaching. All eyes in 3a will be looking at belfry and lex. Hope for a healthy evening of football and safe travels for all. Boyle 56-14

Belfry/LC was never in doubt. LC has some good size and West can be a load. Tackle well and you have no problem with LC. Not enough athletes to beat you. Miss tackles and West can get some yards. Biggest difference in LC and Belfry is that Belfry is much quicker and athletic than LC and Avery Browning’s ability to throw the football. I would not be surprised to see Boyle score on some long plays and also maybe a special teams touchdown due to their speed. I would think prolly running clock at some point.

A team you might not put a clock on but a team that would keep it somewhat respectable. Boyle shouldnât have much problem if they bring their A game. If not, it could be a western hills type scenario maybe?? Good luck to both, most importantly stay safe.

LC just doesnât have the firepower. You say well they just scored 78. But gosh lol how bad were the defenses. If Boyle plays their game this one is never in doubt.

They got some big linemen and a tough running QB. They are incapable of throwing the football. They have no speed and no defense.
What am I missing?
If Hills scored 74, how many you think we could score?
This game will give us a "look" for Belfry's offensive attack and a "look" at a similar defense. It's the perfect Round 2 opponent.

Boyle will have a running clock in 3rd quarter. Rest some kids and get ready for next week.

Thatâs correct. HOWEVER......Belfry was missing 3-4 starters in that game.

How many will they be missing vs LexCath? That's the important question.

No youâre right they donât. And more than likely it wonât be a game. But I do believe they are good enough that you canât just go through the motions against them either.

Dang. Who were they missing?

Lc will play their talls off and won't lay down. Boyle will actually have to show up. Dang I'm gonna miss this senior class cause they just work so hard.

I believe people are reading way to much into the score of the Western Hills game. The Robinson kid is a freak and a one man show and very few teams have one kid who is that good. We haven't given up that many points all season, not even to Belfry. Our defense Isn't great but better then this score makes em look. We are capable of getting some stops on a good team even a team of Boyl's caliber. Boyle county is bigger, faster, deeper and more talented and will win this game as they should. This will be nothing but a learning experience for the young kids on this team. The Lawrence county Bulldog program is a program that is on the rise and about 2 seasons away from being able to compete with the best teams 3A has to offer. Coach Short is very young and not much experience, but he can get the numbers out and the kids play hard for him and he has a plan. The youth leage and middle school programs are much improved and we have some very talented and deep groups of kids coming up through the system so the talent is about to catch up with the X's and O's. Coach Short said he wanted to get this team and program back to where it was in the decade of the 90's and early 2000's when he was playing and I believe we are very close.

Honestly......I think Everyone but Hensley will play. I think Mounts, Cook and Fields will all play and be at least reasonably close to 💯
Thatâs just an educated guess.......
