Paparazzi Wrote:It is at PCC next year. I really enjoyed the tournament at Breathitt even though the gym is not quite big enough. However, I don't mind to be a little crowded to enjoy an atmosphere that was very good. Seems like every time I'm involved in a semi or final game there it's multiple overtimes. I've given the 15th region refs a hard time all year and now I will have to apologize. I watched every game and I thought they done a wonderful job. So congrats to Breathitt for hosting a super tourney and to the 15th region refs for a very solid job of officiating. Thank you!
I agree that Breathitt does a great job. Their only shortcoming is not good parking and the gym seats less than the other 3 hosts in the rotation. I was told it holds 2800 but after counting the rows and doing a quick estimate I think they can jam 3000 in there, counting fans that are standing.

I agree, the student section thing must be due to a lack of school culture. Students don't seem to be as proud to come out and support their team with chants etc. Hate this and hope it can change in the future...
Only impressive sections I have seen in recent years are from Cov. Cath and Trinity, those boys have their act together! May also be due to the fact that those schools almost always have good teams that they want to get behind. Wish we had something like that in the mountains.

That probably has to do with the fact that their student bodies are much larger and their kids come from more affluent homes and can afford to go to every single game and travel to Lexington.
