Not sure what games you were watching then...

They need a decision as Spring practice is getting here in a hurry.

Well he is a Freshman. But if i wanted football titles he'd be at Mayfield. But he's a baseball player first. Geno Miller is as good as it gets. Won about 90% of his games at MCHS. Unheard of almost in baseball. Regardless, those three state titles and dollar will still only get you a double hamburger on the dollar menu at McDonalds. NO CHEESE. For the most part I'm looking for scholarship money for my kid. From what I see MCHS is far better than others in the 1st region for that, no matter the sport.

Well, I guess that's one thought. Can't say it's a good one but, it's a thought.
Considering Mayfield only had 12 seniors suited up for football this year and only 7 that started, I think 4 going to college and another one that has an offer, that's pretty darn good.
By the way the 90% of baseball wins, will not get you anymore than those state championships for sure.

And just so you are aware, football is not our only game. Since you seem to think that this is all we are judged by. I remember in addition to winning state in football last year, we also had at least 1 state champion in track, we also had the regional champs in golf this year and our education must be near the top in west Ky. That being since they released the top 50 schools in the state for education and Murray was at I think 12 and Mayfield at 28. Those were the only top 50 schools in West Ky. So, is there anything else you would like to try and slander us for?

Slander? Just stating facts from one perspective. I LIKE Mayfield. If Geno Miller was at Mayfield I move my family there. Love the football tradition. Guess I'm losing context thru my inability to communicate with posts.

That's the problem with texts. They somehow at times do not deliver the true intentions. I certainly took the comments about this year's seniors as a slap. I would hope that was not the intent. Esp considering they are 1 of only 3 classes in Mayfield history to win at least 3 state championships. Only 1 class finished with 4. Hope it changes soon though. I love the tradition that is Mayfield.

Mayfield has been highly successful for years with players that are not particularly big, strong, or athletic.

That's called teamwork.

I swear, somehow every thread about any team ends up with Mayfield being mention.

I've thought this same thing for awhile now. Doesn't matter the topic, the Mayfield faithful have to insert themselves.

Just another normal day. A non Mayfield fan brings up Mayfield to take a jab check, a Mayfield fan defends the jab taken check, a couple more non Mayfield fans accuse Mayfield fans of inserting themselves into another team's thread without going back to see that it wasn't a Mayfield fan that started the whole thing check. Just an ordinary Thursday on BGR.

You can best believe that any topic labeled Paducah Tilghman, McCracken County, or any other far western Kentucky school will have the term "Mayfield" inserted very quickly by one of two posters on BGR.

I've been saying it for years. Ironic thing is some of the worst Mayfield fans are the ones that didn't go to Mayfield or didn't play football there. It's the transfer ones. The natives that played there know they don't have to run their mouth and for the most part are solid football fans. The big mouths are the ones that transferred their kids there so they get off on being associated with Mayfield now and toot their horns like they did something.

Thank you for enlightening us. I was not aware that in order to post opinions on this board you have to have "done something" at some point in the distant past. I better be getting my credentials in order so I can be sure to be in compliance.

I wasn't referring to you BigBlue, I'm sorry you have esteem issues. And to clarify, my "done something" comment was referring to Mayfield alums who grew up in and played in that tradition rich program. Those guys tend to not get on here and incessantly run their mouths interjecting ignorant trash talk at every turn. Your momma says you've done things too, so you can keep posting.
