Capital, WV.: 4-1 (#2 in WV.'s Class 3A)
Lexington Catholic: 1-5

Boyd County: 3-3
East Carter: 1-5
Greenup County: 5-2
Rowan County: 0-7
Ashland Blazer: 4-2
Belfry: 5-1
And it should be noted that South Charleston's WR/DB Derrek Pitt's De-Committed from Penn State.
WOW!!! Only 2 out of 10 games that I would call good teams..... Do you think JC will look at making a harder schedule now that they have proven to be a top program year after year? Or did the teams on there schedule just have down years?

Check out Lexington C schedule at this time last year

JC has the 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 "At-Large" state championships in 3A, 4A & 5A.
Loosing to Cov. Cath in 2006 (3A state champions)
Loosing to Ft. Thomas Highlands in 2008 (5A), 2009 (5A), 2010 (5A) & 2011 (4A)
All four of these seasons, HHS won the state title in their class.
So, congrats to JC for winning the "At-Large" state football champions 5 times over.
(Yes, I am kidding about this.... for those of you that have no sense of humor.)
Devils2002 Wrote:Since it was the "louisville champ" vs the "at large" in 4A.....then no JC would have have zero "at large" championships because those teams are from the Covington Area.......but ill excuse your misconception.
In all seriousness, I would argue now that the Covington/NKY area was harder than the Louisville area during that time.

Mousketeers keep it close for a half. They will play hard but then just wear down physically.
The Ashland/Greenup game will be must see for the #2 spot in the district.

They might keep it close for half of the first quarter

That's possible too. Greenup is just so bad offensively and so undersized. They have to be able to hold on too the ball for a while. Move the sticks and run some clock.
But they are scrappy and they do fight.

I'm not sure if they can compete with JC but there is a possibility they can beat Ashland. That will not be an easy task though because Ashland is not the same team that Raceland beat in August and Greenup will need to play a near perfect mistake free game to pull it off. I think they will beat Boyd at the end of the year. It has been since 2002 that they've had a winning season and they are just one win away from having one. I am pulling for Greenup the rest of the way and I would love to see them get that monkey off their backs.
