I will not waste much time with you, it doesn't take a genius to know I was refering to our team in general when made the not much football played by us, on Log Mountain.. With that said, I will include even less played by the Bradner Bandits. I would very much like to say Middlesboro was a very good team and we just beat a much improved team, but I agree they are worse than last year and so are we.

You didn't watch the game. Regardless of whether Bell County was better or worse, Middlesboro was obviously improved. I know that is a tough pill for you to swallow since your whole identity on this website has been the diminish anything positive that the program may have going (well for the last 3 years anyway). I'm not saying their a juggernaut but coming from someone who actually watched every game last year, I can tell you that we've improved.
Sadly our schedule is so tough that we could be improved and still only win 3 or 4 games. As HCS has said, I think next year is when we see a tilt in our favor to the W column.

You can take whatever you like from the statement, but Middlesboro had 9 and sometimes 10 defenders on the line of scrimmage and we averaged 6 yards a carry. While the Jackets had negative yards rushing for the game. We had 2 pass plays for the game both incomplete. It was one of the smallest weakest Middlesboro teams in a while. Speed you do have, but not when the OL lets them in the backfield before it starts. From , your statements I question if you were at the same game.

By the way, due to our alignment on your recievers , it is easy to complete pass when we do not cover them. The glass is half empty.

We have only improved in 1 area, we can throw to a receiver somewhat better. However with that we have lost the big play opportunity from QB runs. Last year we could have had both. That is another story. They may not catch it better. Our run game is much worse. Defense is much worse. When you play 9 in the box and the other team doesn't have to throw the ball, how is that an improvement?

Holy Smokes..... Much worse are you all on dope? Middlesboro defense didn't make a team punt last year til about week 3. Swarmed better to the football tackling was much improved... Offensively starting a freshman at center is a big task but things were a lot better..... A loss is still that but things will get better in the Boro!!!

Good lord guys. All the bickering. It was WEEK 1. Both teams IMO will do fine. Middlesboro will def win more than 1 game this season. Talent is there. Bell Co looked a lot better from 1st quarter to the 4th. Bell grew up a lot on the defensive side of the ball IMO last night. Some tweaking on the O and they could be a dangerous team. Bell is stacked at the RB position. #65 on D Line is going to be a beast and get to a lot of qb's this season. Middlesboro is a very quick team.

Wish some of the ex Bell Coaches on here will lose the jealousy. Maybe they did meet at Papa Johns with John Brock. Who cares. You're not coaching them now. Go cheer for another team.

If i recalled you said Bell would put a "running clock" on Middlesboro? I also recall you saying that this Middlesboro team was the "worst team you seen middlesboro have in 30 years"? So what does that mean for your precious Bobcat team? Oh and i also forgot seeings how they played on "Log Mountain" -_- that they should have had the home field advantage..oh wait thats right the game was at Middlesboro..Im sure you watched every play of the game

We are not very good, I said that and I guess you forgot to tell me Humfleet would not play after first drive. I said 21 with Humfleet and it would have been a running clock with him. 34-12 with the final score coming against prevent def. Make no mistake, we are not good right now. I keep hearing via pm we had td called back. Last I checked you can not block the DB so that the other receiver can catch the ball while down field. Great play, very illegal.
Please explain to me how your def got better when you have to put 10 on the line and we still run the ball all the way to a score? Multiple times. Swarm tackling looks like that with 10 on and around the line of scrimmage.:please:
How about your run game? What did you have on the ground 10 yards?

I am confused who do you pull for? You have Middlesboro handle and talk great of Bell and not so good with the Boro. Politician maybe?

So Middlesboro is terrible and Bell's team just toyed around and will be fine and would have had the running clock if they had a couple of breaks? I'm amazed at how many quality coaches are on this board and haven't been hired yet. Yes I agree Middlesboro has some work to do, but anybody that has any football knowledge at all should be able to see they are improved and have some good things to work with. Also Bell is not as strong as usual and when they play teams in their class, they will struggle. But that's ok, continue to defend a bunch of people that could care less about anybody but themselves and hope they read your posts on this board so your dreams of being a coach can come true. I hate that Middlesboro lost, but I would rather be in their shoes going forward, seems like they have more to build on, and will at least not allow other teams to key on one thing.
08-20-2016, 08:32 PM
You can't read, I said we were not good and the only break we lost was one of the best running backs in this area. This is what I hear from the Boro, we are going to be great, wait ....next year....wait two years. Just sayin!!

Middlesboro's defense played better when Humfleet was carrying the ball. And it does not matter whether Humfleet carried the ball or not the way you spoke was that your team was so good it didnt matter if Humfleet carried it or not. Your point was that Bell is fantastic and Middlesboro is so pitiful..if that was true why was there not a running clock without Humfleet? Are you saying the Bobcats are only as good as one player can make them be? Which that player is gone now..Plus you stress how many rushing yards Bell had against Middlesboro but you failed to realize how many passes Middlesboro threw on the secondary. I guess you left those DBs at the game that was played on Log Mountain as well because the only things i saw that was "good coverage" was the two interceptions that were made off of the hands of Middlesboros recievers every other pass that was caught or even the ones that were dropped Bells secondary was smoked like pop tarts by 10 yards.

Really, what was it 7 play 70yrd drive with Humfleet 55 yards. Two runs over 18.
And yes as of now, Humfleet was the game changer according to everyone including myself. So now we must go to someone else. Regardless, game over Jackets 0-1.

im still confused as to how Humfleet made a big difference when he was playing? Middlesboros offense matched the score when they had the ball so how does that make Humfleet a game changer? The whole time he was in and playing Middlesboros offense scored and answered back on their drives so i am still confused as to why Humfleet would put a running clock on Middlesboro? It doesnt matter if Humfleet scored 98 points by himself if Middlesboros offense scored 98 points together there still wouldnt be a running clock..? But youre right. Bell did take the W and i am not taking anything way from niether team it was some good football from both squads

The TD that was called back was a holding call on the quick slant. Your talking about the long gain called back on ineligible receiver down field. Just another sign that you didn't watch the game.

Why doesn't everyone leave Humbfleet alone... The poor kid is probly gonna miss his entire Senior season but about 4-5 minutes he played Friday night! So let's keep in mind what's really important here which some of you tend to forget is the KIDS!!!! Prayers to Treyton!!!

No I am not, our sideline on quick slant while receiver was blocking corner in front of locker room. I don't know what receiver would be inelgible? You are lost, along with others .

Exactly! Prayers for Treyton!
I just hope and pray that his season isn't over. That's hard enough without it being his Senior year. Bless his heart.

Is there any update on Humfleet"s injury? What I was told was heartbreaking to hear, hoping that i was given wrong information.

Let's hope that he makes it back to play this year.

For those that didn't make it to the game, I feel that I have to clear this up.
- Middlesboro gained 62 yards on the ground, a far cry from the claim made that they were in the red in rushing yards.(Williams had 9 carries for 53 yards - 6 ypc)
- Bell gained 218 yards on the ground. They haven't posted their player stats but I'd bet they didn't really average 6 a carry.
- Middlesboro outgained Bell 301-218.
It doesn't change the outcome but does clear up some misleading/inaccurate statements.
08-21-2016, 10:46 PM
Who rushed for the other 9 yards?
08-21-2016, 10:49 PM
Elliott had 14, Mason had 2, Ellison had -8
08-21-2016, 10:51 PM
It's reported on KHSAA.
08-21-2016, 10:54 PM
Just curious, I thought Elliot run was called back, he needs to touch ball more.
08-21-2016, 11:00 PM
That was my biggest gripe.
