From what I've seen this season, he isn't someone who could help them a great deal in the varsity games yet so I don't think it was that big of a risk. He may be great someday, but he needs to play at the freshman and JV levels. I'm not surprised.

Now if Ashland's starter gets broken in half tomorrow night, which is a real possibility considering he's about a buck fifty going against the monsters of JC, Ratliff may be all they have to turn to. I wouldn't expect anything more from him, though, other than turning and handing to Baker.
