You're Tiger Bait Wrote:this is coach vaas's first season coaching the fighting tigers, but they appear to be very solid this year. we have 20 seniors, and i think 38 total on varsity.
we are ranked 4th in the state in division 4
1 being the biggest, 6th the smallest
and are ranked number 1 in our region division 4 region 15.
i'd like to meet some johnson central posters , maybe prior to the game, near a scoreboard , or a goal post. let me know if anyone would be interested.and looking forward to posting here.
Yes Ironton is a very complete football team. Didnt realize Ironton numbers were that low. That's a lot of seniors but not a lot of depth. Johnson Central is also a solid football program. That has compete over the last few years with a solid FTH football program. While kind of a young team in rebuilding mode the eagles are still a good team. Should be a good series for both teams. Is this a 2 year contract or what?

Ironton seems to be a bit better than they have been the last few years. Johnson Central seems to be a bit worse than they have been the last few years.

I think Ironton wins this one by 2 touchdowns minimum

You might want to remind your smart butt buddy TomCat Pride about that very thing.

I was trying to make a joke didn't mean to make this thread a spelling bee. I worked in the Ashland area for over 10 years and to be honest, I was treated much better by the folks in Ashland than I have ever been treated in Paintsville. I was once fired from a job in Paintsville because I came to work on a broken foot and honestly reported that I had hurt it in the parking lot at my apartment. Anyway lets get back to the game. I heard that Ironton has a very good RB , and JC had trouble with the D1 prospect from KC. Maybe somebody has watched both of these RB's and can give us some info on how they are similar?

It's all good really. I got my jab back in and enjoy a little smack among rival schools. I don't know much about canady from kc. I do know that Lewis ran for over 200 yards and 3 td's vs Ashland. However Ironton only had eight first downs. Which means If he gets In the secondary forget about it your not bringing him down or catching him. I've seen him play twice and the only player I saw run him down was Shannon justice from Ashland and I don't know how he did it still almost 2 weeks later.

actually ohio has added another division for next year in football
they will have 7 divisions. 1 being the biggest 7th the smallest. and ironton will drop to d5, as of next year.and everything you read and are hearing about patrick lewis is true.he is an amazing talent. and could play anywhere in the country on saturdays.looking forward to my first trip to watch a game at JCHS.the remainder of the fighting tigers schedule is.

He had an angle and made a diving swipe that caught Lewis's feet. One more step or if Justice wouldn't have sold out and he would have been gone on that one. It was a great effort play by justice.

Lewis gets a step and he's gone.

You still have White, Schweikert(sp) and Duty to deal with as well and a huge offensive line paving the way. Ironton is far from a one man show. They put over 60 points up on Portsmouth this past Friday.

JC has bitten off a little more than they can handle here. Hope the Eagles can keep it close.

That it was. I don't think Shannon knows the meaning of the word quit on any play.

Who all is looking at Lewis? I've enjoyed watching him play the two times I did this year.He is a special player that your just glad you had the oppurtunity to watch much like JJ Jude the last few years at Johnson Central.
#47
I think this will be a close game, with Ironton winning.
#48
JC is run first pass second, you will love the atmosphere at our place.. we have a beautiful facility.. a nice visitor's side bleachers where you don't have to struggle to try and watch the game....and the best fans..hope its a great game, and good luck.
#49
Ironton can't stop #10 and 28. JC by 10!!
#50
Going with Ironton, OH in this one by 13. Their special teams packages are really good as I feel this will be the biggest intangable the Eagles can't overcome. And Lewis of course.
#51
With all due respect to jc i see Ironton winning by 7.
#52
Two more days!

i have not heard anything of who is looking at him. but this kid can flat out ball. he could play anywhere in the country, if he were recruited as an athlete only. or return specialist. i would liken him to an athlete we had some years back, named jermon jackson who went to ohio state.
#54
He's not as big as Jackson but yes. I like that comparison.
#55
I would hope the best for him. He is a great talent. The golden eagle faithful are in for a treat.
#56
I believe Johnson Central's Matney has been sandbagging this year and will show that Ironton, which is a good team, will not live up to the hype that has been generated on this website recently.
#57
JC has seen its share of good backs so I dont think Lewis will be any different. JC is a tough place to play and from what I hear if Ironton wasnt bailed out by the refs they would have lost to Ashland. Im not sold on the Ironton hype. JC by 2 tds.
#58
Ironton by a TD
#59
Refs had nothing to do with Ironton beating Ashland.

Lewis had 265 on 13 carries in that game. 15 for 245 against Russell. He's the best back and Ironton has the best backfield JC will see this year.

Ironton by 21.
