Good win for HC, KC continues to gather doubters around their program.
So KC scored on fluke plays.....I guess in harlan co. that is what they call pass plays?????

Those 5 teams they played had a total of 4 WINS and 25 LOSS.
The Black Bears will probally drop 2 more places in the AP poll to whoever they want to jump them DON'T believe in these stupid polls those sources are bias to there local teams.

Wait, weren't all those teams playing district games? Anyhow, I can't see anyone outside of the top 4 beating Bowling Green, Warren Central, John Hardin, or Christian County.
Congrats to Harlan County on the win and making your argument for "King of the Mountains" more legitimate. Really looking forward to the Bell matchup.

One td was on one of the best high school catches I have personally witnessed. The kid from HC had exellent coverage and the younger Barger kid dove out on 4th 16 over the goalline and caught the ball one handed over his outside shoulder, I am pretty sure left handed. Not a catch you see everyday. Great play. The other TD was all the QB. He was sacked and got away. Another kid was bearing down on him and eluded that guy and threw the ball up to Canady and it went over his head and fell into his brother's hands once again. The younger Barger went the distance after catch with the coverage for the most part being broken down at that point. Two excellent plays for a freshman. I guess the poster more or less meant that those are not plays you see everyday.
Also anyone doubting needs to get serious. How many district, regional titles does Knox have in school history? Scott Russell will do an excellent job. It takes time to feel one's own way. Good luck to Knox.

Escpecially considering you prob 99.9% likely havent seen any of the top 4 ranked teams or harlan County play??

I just hope people decide Knox is not a threat to win our district. Never mind we had 3 starters out and 2 playing injured who likely should have sat. Go ahead, chalk us up as weak.
And having watched PCC last night and having watched HC against Mortown East - HC better hope for a wet field when PCC comes to town cause evidently Commodores are allergic to water... LOL.
Now go win a 5A state championship you big old bear.

Knox Central is a valid threat whenever they play. They have a lot of heart and talent to go with it.
HC also had some players playing through injuries; though I haven't seen it mentioned but one time. Two of our starters were out, and two were playing with injuries.
As far as field conditions go, no matter if it is wet, dry or pitted, BOTH teams are playing at the same time so BOTH teams must handle the field conditions.
I look forward to the PCC game, and will be there to support the Black Bears, if it's the good Lord's will.
Go Black Bears!!

The Black Bears beat a very good Knox Central and did it overcoming the distraction of homecoming. KC will do great in the weeks to come and I think they make a big playoff run. ONE WEEK AT A TIME!!!GO BLACK BEARS!!!!!!

Great job black bears!
Could not believe McMillon ran down Canady after he got a 10 yard head start. Great stuff.
Anybody else but me think there were flags on the field when it turned out to be #66's shoes???

It's called loss of containment....which rarely happens on the scale it did on those plays. Real simple, they made the play on what was otherwise a sack for a huge loss.
One other note...did anyone other than me see the missed false start by KC's fullback on the 4th n 1, first scoring drive. Funny how I sat 60 yards away and saw that yet 5 on the filed missed it.
Im not disrespecting...but this game could have been 50-0 very easily.

I don't think anyone thinks the Panthers are weak, and no one is overlooking them. I just think everyone expected you guys to have performed better up to this point. You've played good, but everyone expected a great team from Knox Central. I expect that you will pull it together, and I fully expect Rock, Russell Co, and Knox Central will do a fine job representing District 6 and hopefully we can pull a few upsets in the process.

They are three and two with two blowouts and another solid win. What do people want? The only game they lost that people felt they would win was Perry. Perry has been a very solid team losing only to an unbeaten Rock team. Seriously, I don't get it. I think the people at Knox are doing a great job and they have an excellent shot at that district. They are huge and fast. Canady is unreal and the QB is pretty dang good too.

Records mean nothing.....Nothing. With the way Knox Central finished the year last year everyone expected them to be very good this year. They struggled against an average West Jessamine team, then they loose to PCC which may be very good, but were dominated by Rock. I think even the Panther Nation would agree that they simply don't have it together yet and aren't playing to their potential. Coming into the season they were the overwhelming favorite to win this district. No one is saying that they aren't good or that they're weak, only that they can play much better than they have; even if they've played pretty good so far.
Between Rock, Russel Co, and Knox Central, KC has the most room for improvement....and they're not really behind now. As far as Jeff Canady goes, I know he has the potential to go far. Last year I was posting that he and Nick Britt would be two of the better offensive threats as Juniors in the state, neither have let me down.
