Of course he isn't going to tell the folks around him and his players that he's leaving. No sensible coach would.

Dave Henley did the same thing when he was approached about the North Oldham job. When he finally made a decision to leave, he sat down and spoke with athletic director, Ron Madrick, before he made it official to the public and his players.

If Holmes offers him the job, I have a feeling he's gone. Henley's wife was a Pikeville native as well but that didn't stop him from moving to nky.

I've also heard that he's shown interest in the Clay Co and Bardstown jobs as well.



Holmes will announce who the new coach is on Monday May 24th.

I'd say Booher and Wright are both at the top of Holmes' list as far as experience goes, but the general public seems to think Tim Sullivan (former Holmes player and assistant coach) will be the person who gets the job. His mother, Linda, was a Holmes admin back in the early 2000's before retiring.

So Booher won't miss much if he goes to Holmes, it's just as political as SV.
