Look, Coach Booher's wife's family is from Pikeville, but her father, Hillard Howard now lives in Florida. Jason Booher is a wonderful coach and an even better person. Let's face it, he made his run at Shelby Valley, and anyone in the mountains would be crazy to think that a school can year in and year out be in the running for a state title given the circumstances eastern Kentucky coaches face.

Holmes would put Booher closer to his family in Northern Kentucky, and it could be a significant step towards one day coaching at the college level.

Booher is a wonderful school administrator, but his heart is in coaching. If he doesn't leave now while the iron is hot, he may never get this opportunity again. If he leaves Valley, look for an Allen Hatcher to take over.
